Barcsi Gyógyfürdő és Rekreációs Központ stands in the centre of Barcs, in Somogy county on the left bank of the Drava near the Croatian border, a short walk from the railway and bus stations.

The operator states that the water rises from 1,317 metres at 55 °C and is sodium–hydrogen-carbonate in character; a 2017 analysis on the site gives 439 mg/l sodium, 1,110 mg/l hydrogen carbonate and 1,610 mg/l of dissolved minerals in all. According to the operator the water suits musculoskeletal disease and rehabilitation after an accident, and the classification procedure found that it eases knee arthrosis pain and chronic lumbago; the claims are the operator’s.

The bath runs all year. Six pools sit under cover: a 25 × 16 m swimming pool at 26 °C, a teaching pool at 32 °C, three medicinal pools at 34, 38 and 40 °C — one with a patient hoist — and a jacuzzi at 36 °C. Outdoors an adventure pool stays open all year, reached by a swim-out channel in cold weather, and three more open in summer: a swimming pool at 26 °C, a children’s pool at 30 °C with a small slide, and a thermal pool at 36 °C with seating benches and neck showers. Three Finnish sauna cabins, an infrared cabin, a steam cabin and a 5 °C cold chamber make up the wellness area; a rheumatology clinic on site offers physiotherapy, massage, electrotherapy and underwater jet massage. Swimming caps are compulsory in the swimming pools.

Admission is at the gate: a full-day ticket, or one valid until 13:00 and after 16:00. Wellness use is charged separately. Open 10:00–19:00 on weekdays and 9:00–19:00 at weekends and holidays.
