Ambient Thermal Spa

Ambient Thermal Spa is the bathing and sauna wing of Hotel Ambient at Komló, in southern Hungary, open to visitors as well as hotel guests.

The water

The venue describes an alkaline thermal water containing lithium; sulphur is the dominant constituent of the analysis we hold. It states the water in the pools is completely exchanged every two to six days. According to the venue it is used for musculoskeletal, gynaecological and skin complaints.

Pools

The covered thermal pool, suitable for swimming, runs at 31-33 °C, with a sitting pool beside it much warmer at 35-36 °C. A large massage pool has its own rest area, and a children's and paddling pool with play features is held at 30-32 °C. An outdoor pool operates seasonally, from the end of May to early October.

Saunas

Finnish saunas indoors and out run at 80-90 °C. The steam cabin is 40-60 °C, the two infrared cabins 50-60 °C, and the aroma cabin the gentlest at 30-40 °C. A salt room lined with Himalayan salt bricks is kept at 25-30 °C, and there is an outdoor jacuzzi with a shower.

Wellness

Massages, body treatments and deep-heat therapy are booked in advance, and the treatment desk works 09:00 to 18:00 daily.

Visiting

The wellness area opens 08:00 to 20:00 from Tuesday to Thursday and on Sundays, from 09:00 on Mondays, and 08:00 to 21:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. From Monday to Thursday an adult pays 6,900 Ft for a full day or 5,900 Ft after 15:00; from Friday to Sunday the same tickets are 8,900 and 7,500 Ft. Children from 6 to 17 and pensioners pay less, and under-sixes enter free. The spa is at Fürdő utca 5.
