Vital Therme

Vital Therme is the thermal bath of Bad Wildbad, in the northern Black Forest of Baden-Württemberg, with indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna and a steam bath.

The water

The water comes from 2,000 metres below the surface at 34 °C, which is also the temperature of the warmest pool — it needs neither heating nor cooling — with the cooler basins down to 32 °C. According to the venue it is used for musculoskeletal complaints.

Water fitness

Aqua fitness runs hourly with an instructor and is free for bathers, in sessions of 15 to 30 minutes. Aqua biking is a 45-minute session in water 1.35 m deep, sold as a ten-class package for 150.00 EUR. Equipment training in the Vitalsport room is 5.00 EUR on top of admission, from the age of 16.

Visiting

The bath opens daily from 09:00 to 19:00, and until 21:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays; swimming ends 30 minutes before closing and the last entry is 90 minutes before. The sauna starts at 13:00 on weekdays and 09:30 at weekends and on holidays, with a women-only sauna on Wednesdays outside holidays. Three hours cost 14.00 EUR for an adult, 7.00 EUR for children aged 4 to 14 and 12.50 EUR reduced; a family ticket is 24.50 EUR for one adult with up to three children and 31.00 EUR for two adults with up to three. Each extra hour is 3.00 EUR, capped at 20.00 EUR for the day. Children up to and including three enter free, under-14s must be accompanied by an adult, and the sauna is open from the age of six with an adult. The bath closes for maintenance on 22 June 2026 and from 23 November to 6 December. It is at Bätznerstraße 85.
