About

Schlossbad Neumarkt stands at Seelstraße 20 in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz, beside the Schlossweiher, and is run by Stadtwerke Neumarkt i.d.OPf. Freizeit & Leben KU. The water is plain heated pool water with one brine pool; it is not thermal and not from a spring. The operator's home, indoor, outdoor, sauna, hours, price and imprint pages contain no occurrence of Therme, Thermal, Quelle, Mineral or Heilwasser, and the brine pool's own data block attributes its effect to added salt, "Regeneration durch Solesalz", with no percentage or mineral content published.

The indoor hall offers over 1,000 m² of water and names five pools. The sports pool is 25 by 20 metres in eight lanes, 2.0 to 3.8 metres deep, at 27 °C, with one- and three-metre diving boards and a water-climbing wall. The adventure pool covers 268 m² at 31 °C and 1.35 metres deep, with a current channel, a swing bay, floor bubblers, a neck shower, massage jets, bubble loungers and a curtain-like waterfall. The course pool, 12.5 by 10 metres at 30 °C, has a movable floor adjustable between 0.10 and 1.35 metres for aqua fitness and swimming lessons. The brine pool is 1.5 metres deep at 32 °C, with water bubblers; the operator advises bathing no longer than 20 minutes and consulting a doctor first in case of cardiovascular disease or asthma. The children's pool covers 100 m² at 32–33 °C and 0.10 to 0.45 metres deep, with squirting animals, floor jets, a water cannon and a play stream. An indoor tube slide and the climbing wall form the indoor action area.

The outdoor bath has more than 2,000 m² of water and large lawns. Its 50-metre pool at 24 °C is 1.8 to 3.8 metres deep, with two lanes separated for sport swimmers, a diving installation with 5- and 3-metre platforms and two springboards; the adventure pool at 29 °C runs 0.6 to 1.28 metres deep with bubblers, a current channel and a massage lounger; the outdoor children's pool at 29 °C, 0.02 to 0.35 metres deep, has a broad slide, a boat channel with three weirs, a seal squirting animal, a water cannon, a water mushroom with waterfall, several fountains and six arc jets. The outdoor slide is around 80 metres long with its own landing pool, for bathers from age eight, and a separate children's slide sits at the adventure pool. The outdoor season runs roughly from early May to mid-September; in 2026 the swimmers' pool closes after 15 September and the adventure pool after 20 September, with a dog swim on 26 September.

The sauna world states a total: five saunas, two of them outdoors, plus a steam bath. Indoors are the Pfalzgrafensauna, a Finnish infusion sauna at 85–90 °C with 50 seats, the Kräutersauna at about 60 °C with 25 seats, and the Schlossweihersauna at about 60 °C with 20 seats and a view over the Schlossweiher. Outdoors are the Wolfsteinsauna of Kelo wood at 80–90 °C with 60 seats, and the Salzsauna at about 75 °C with 20 seats and microcrystalline salt. Infusions run hourly from 11:00 to 21:00 in both the Pfalzgrafen and Wolfstein saunas, with the End of Day infusion moved to 22:00 on Fridays, Saturdays and days before public holidays, and salt peelings offered in the steam bath after the 15:00 and 19:00 slots.

The operator contradicts itself on hours. A banner repeated on every page reads "Unsere Öffnungszeiten Montag bis Samstag 10:00 Uhr bis 19:00 Uhr", while the hours page gives the indoor bath as Monday to Saturday 10:00–21:00 and Sundays and public holidays 09:00–21:00, and the sauna as 10:00–22:00 Monday to Thursday, Sundays and holidays and 10:00–23:00 on Fridays, Saturdays and days before holidays. Last admission is one hour and bathing ends 30 minutes before closing. Outdoor hours are daily 08:00–20:00 and Wednesdays 08:00–21:00. Indoor admission including the outdoor bath is 5.50 € for adults for 1.5 hours and 11.50 € for four hours, 3.50 € and 8.00 € for children aged 3 to 15, plus 1.00 € at weekends and on public holidays; a day ticket is 13.90 € for adults and 9.80 € for children Monday to Friday. The operator publishes no opening year.
