Fürthermare in Fürth, Germany is a thermal spa combining a fun pool, thermal bath, sauna landscape and fitness club, fed by an in-house spring drawn from over 400 metres depth. It offers six indoor and outdoor pools between 32 and 37 °C, eleven saunas and steam baths, and a Dead Sea-style brine grotto.

About

Fürthermare is a leisure and thermal spa complex in Fürth, Germany, at Scherbsgraben 15. The site brings together a fun pool (Spaßbad), a thermal bath, a sauna landscape and the Vitamare fitness club under one roof.

The water

The thermal water is drawn from the venue's own "four-leaf clover" spring from a depth of over 400 metres. The site describes it as fluoride-bearing sodium-calcium-chloride-sulphate thermal water, with the analysis carried out by Laborunion Prof. Höll & Co. GmbH. According to the operator, bathing in the natural brine supports circulation, the immune system and the bronchi through its minerals. The spa holds certified-medicinal status, and the source emerges at around 37 °C.

Pools

There are six indoor and outdoor pools with water temperatures ranging from 32 to 37 °C. Thermal areas include bubble loungers, massage jets and cascading pools for relaxation. A separate mineral brine grotto (Mineral-Solegrotte) holds water described as 770 times denser than air, allowing bathers to float as in the Dead Sea, and is set to underwater music and light projections; a salt steam bath in the grotto is available for an additional fee. Children under 16 are limited to the grotto, and weekday grotto access begins at 3 pm.

Saunas & steam baths

The sauna landscape comprises eleven varied saunas and steam baths in total. Named facilities include the Casa Bella Vista panorama sauna, the Casa Salina salt sauna and the Hacienda los Sueños relaxation house. Four steam baths are noted: two clothing-optional ones in the sauna building, one textile steam bath in the fun pool area and one in the salt grotto (extra fee). For cooling and resting there are a 14 m² cold-water pool at 20 °C, a 43 m² warm relaxation pool at 34 °C and a 1.5 m² plunge pool at 20 °C, alongside rest rooms such as a star-ceiling room and a reading and media lounge. A sauna infusion schedule (Aufgussplan) is published on site.

Facilities

Family and leisure features include the "Piraten-Rutschenland" pirate slide area, mermaiding sessions and children's birthday parties. Free aquafitness classes such as water gymnastics and Aqua Zumba are offered, along with sports swimming. A spa and beauty area provides treatments, and the Vitamare fitness club offers memberships. VIP cards include dining discounts, indicating on-site gastronomy.

The fun pool, thermal bath and sauna landscape are open daily from 10 am to 11 pm, with last entry at 10 pm; the venue is closed on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
