About

Salztherme Lüneburg, which trades as SaLü, is a brine bath in Lüneburg, Lower Saxony, open since 1992. Lüneburg made its fortune on salt, and the bath works with brine at four different strengths across its pools.

The water

The water arrives at 34 °C and the pools are held between 32 and 34 °C. Iron dominates the analysis we hold.

Pools

The Salzwelle is the wave pool, salt water at 30 °C with changing wave programmes and a beach entry, and the children's Lüner Bucht beside it runs at the same temperature with a tree shower, warm benches and a ship channel. The outdoor pond holds a 1.5% brine, kept at 30 °C through the year and 28 °C in summer, with a current channel, a grotto and a waterfall. The Große Quelle is a 23 m² fresh-water whirlpool at 34 °C. Two pools carry a 2% brine: the Solequelle and the Heiderauschen at 34 °C, the latter with bubble loungers and a water wall. The strongest is the Heidelauschen at 32 °C with a 4% brine, fitted with underwater music and slides. The Heidemoor relaxation area holds two more salt pools with a platform lift, and the Lütter Stint children's area runs fresh water at 32 °C with a three-lane slide.

Slides

Two named slides: the interactive Black Hole and the Body2Racer, a double racing slide.
