SAALEMAXX Freizeit- und Erlebnisbad Rudolstadt GmbH runs a year-round leisure bath in Rudolstadt, Thuringia, which the operator calls “Thüringens größtem Familien- und Erlebnisbad”. The bulk of the house is plain heated pool water; the only mineral water on site is in the Badehaus, the oriental wellness bath, where the Sole-Außenbecken is described as “bei ca. 30° C und einem Soleghalt von 1,5%” and the Thalassobecken as water “welches dem Meer nachempfunden ist. Es hat ein Solegehalt von 4.” — the figure 4 is printed without a unit on the operator's page. No thermal spring or well is claimed anywhere on the site; the Sole-Inhalationsstollen in the sauna garden is an inhalation gallery described as a “Minisalzbergwerk zum Durchatmen”, not a pool.

The Erlebnisbad holds a wave pool split into swimmer and non-swimmer sections with waves on the hour, a whirlpool overlooking it, a tropical palm garden with loungers, a viewing platform above the wave pool, and a heated outdoor adventure pool open all year that runs as an open-air bath in summer. The Rutschentower is given as “über 200m Gesamtlänge” and holds the Crazy River tyre slide (from age 10), the Black Hole with timing gate (from age 8), the Free-Fall steep slide with a 45 % gradient (from age 12) and a family slide. Outdoors there is a lawn, Maxxi's pirate mud playground and beach volleyball. The separate Sportbad is a “25m Sportbecken mit fünf Bahnen”; school and club swimming restrict it to two public lanes on Tuesday and Thursday 17–19 and Friday 18–20.

The sauna world mixes indoor Finnish cabins and log houses in the garden: Thüringer Aufgussscheune (a new panorama sauna) at 90 °C, Blockhaus Kaminsauna at 90 °C, Finnische Aufguss-Sauna at 80 °C, Blockhaus Sauna at 95 °C, Bio Sauna at 70 °C, Dampfsauna at 45 °C, the bookable Wohlfühlsauna at 90 °C, Steinbad im Berg at 40 °C and Schillers kleine Schwitzstube at 80 °C, with a reading corner and a quiet room. Wednesday is women's sauna day outside holidays. The Badehaus adds a cascade pool at about 34 °C, a Kneipp walk and an aroma grotte steam bath.

Opening hours are Monday to Saturday 10:00–22:00 and Sunday 10:00–20:00 for the Erlebnisbad, and daily 10:00–22:00 for sauna world, Badehaus and sports pool. Adult admission is 20.00 € for two hours, 22.00 € for four hours and 25.80 € for a day ticket in the Erlebnisbad; the sports pool alone is 6.20 € for 1.5 hours. At the time of writing the toddler area is closed for rebuilding, announced as closed “voraussichtlich bis Anfang Oktober”, with a ball pit and small water playgrounds as replacements.
