FrankenTherme is a mineral thermal spa in Bad Königshofen im Grabfeld, Germany, fed by two state-recognised springs and offering indoor and outdoor pools, a natural healing-water lake and a seven-sauna village. The town has been a state-recognised healing resort since 1974.
About
FrankenTherme is a thermal bath in Bad Königshofen im Grabfeld, in the Lower Franconia region of Germany. It combines mineral-water pools with a large sauna area and wellness treatments, and the town it sits in has held the status of a state-recognised healing resort (Heilbad) since 1974.
The water
The spa draws on two state-recognised springs: the Urbaniquelle, dating from 1896, and the Regiusquelle, from 1976. The water is classified as a calcium-sodium-sulphate-chloride water. The site notes it has traditionally been used for complaints of the musculoskeletal system, for skin conditions and for respiratory problems.
Pools & saunas
The indoor bathing area offers about 1,160 square metres of water surface, with the main indoor pool kept at around 31 °C and a whirlpool at about 34 °C. An outdoor pool runs at roughly 30 to 34 °C depending on the season. From May to October a natural, chlorine-free healing-water lake (Heilwassersee) is open at around 28 to 30 °C. The sauna area is arranged as a Finnish-Franconian sauna village with seven themed saunas.
Wellness & treatments
Beyond bathing, the spa provides massages, peelings and cosmetic treatments, including anti-aging and Ayurvedic facials and EMS muscle-stimulation sessions. An outpatient spa cure using the mineral water and moor is also offered.
Facilities
The venue includes a restaurant and a bowling alley, and is designed to be barrier-free through to pool entry. A parking area with around 100 motorhome pitches adjoins the spa.

Opening hours are Monday to Thursday 10:00–21:00, Friday 10:00–23:00, and Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 10:00–20:00, with seasonal variation.
