Phönix-Bad Ottobrunn

Water parkOttobrunn, Bavaria, Germany

A leisure and sports bath with a sauna world of about 10,000 m² at Haidgraben 121 in Ottobrunn south of Munich, with two large slides, a 5 m diving tower and a brine pool, part of the sauna area under rebuilding through 2026.

About

The Phönix-Bad is run by Sportpark Ottobrunn GmbH at Haidgraben 121, 85521 Ottobrunn, and the operator describes the whole site as sport and wellness on around 10,000 m². The water is plain heated water with a prepared brine pool inside the Solewelt: no spring, well, thermal source or mineral analysis is claimed anywhere on the bath, sauna or company pages.

In the bath, the swimmer's pool measures 420 m² and is listed at 27 °C, alongside a teaching pool and an Arielle non-swimmer pool. The children's area has two indoor basins and one outdoor: a paddling pool with play figures and a small slide at 34 °C and a children's outdoor pool with play figures and a slide at 33 °C, plus a fenced playground. For play there is an adventure pool at 33 °C with bubble loungers and a waterfall, a heated outdoor pool at 32 °C with massage jets and floor bubblers, a whirlpool, a diving tower up to 5 metres high and two large water slides with timing, the Blue Tube at 97 metres and the Red Flash. The whirlpool temperature is given twice on the same bath page and the two do not agree: the equipment list says 36 °C and the prose alongside it says 35 degrees; the sauna page's temperature table gives 35 °C at 0.70 m depth.

The sauna world is in the middle of a rebuild. The operator states that since 2 March 2026 part of it is being modernised, with the northern section closed and the southern section open, and that sauna admission is discounted by up to 25 per cent during the works. The temperature table currently lists four cabins and one steam bath: a stone sauna at 65 °C, a Kelo sauna at 90 °C, a Kelo pond sauna at 94 °C, a gallery sauna at 95 °C and a natural-stone steam bath at 48 °C with 98 per cent humidity. The home page's own sentence is garbled, reading "Zehn fünf temperierte und gestaltete Saunen und Dampfbad", so the count it announces cannot be reconciled with the four cabins the table names. The brine pool is likewise given twice and differently: 34 °C in a picture caption and 33 °C at 1.35 m in the temperature table. Rest areas include a water-bed sleeping room, a mystical quiet room in the Solewelt, a conservatory and a large sauna garden with a pond; sauna guests enter the bath at no extra charge. The Day Spa is stated to be closed until further notice, with reopening hoped for during 2026.

The bath opens Monday 7:30–22:30, Tuesday 6:30–22:30 and Wednesday to Sunday 7:30–22:30; the sauna Monday to Thursday 9:00–23:00, Friday 9:00–24:00, Saturday 8:00–24:00 and Sunday 8:00–23:00. An adult day ticket for the bath is 11.60 € Monday to Friday and 13.60 € at weekends and on public holidays, with shorter two- and four-hour tariffs, an early-swimmer tariff of 5.00 € before 10:00 and a late tariff from 21:00.
