Grünwalder Freizeitpark

Grünwalder Freizeitpark in Grünwald, Bavaria, runs a geothermally heated public swimming pool alongside a sauna landscape, as part of a larger recreation complex that also includes an ice rink, a climbing tower and outdoor sports grounds. The pool area has an indoor sports pool with four 25-metre lanes, a Variobecken used as a teaching pool for clubs and courses, a year-round heated outdoor pool with a current channel, a bubble area and massage jets, separate indoor and outdoor children's pools, and a large lawn for sunbathing. The adjoining sauna area holds five sauna types: a Finnish sauna at about 90°C, a saline pool (Solebad) at about 40°C, an oriental steam bath at about 45°C with salt peeling, a Sanarium with coloured light, and an outdoor sauna garden with a log-cabin sauna, a warm pool and a cold shower. The sauna also has an ice fountain, rain and experience showers, a cold-water plunge pool, two relaxation rooms and a roof terrace. The operator currently states that, due to ongoing construction, only the cold-water plunge pool is available in the sauna area while the other sauna pools remain closed. No slides or water attractions are listed for the pool itself.
