About

The MediTherme is a thermal bath and sauna landscape in Bochum, in North Rhine-Westphalia. Bathing here is textile-free, and the sauna side is the larger part of the house: fourteen cabins and steam rooms, spread between the building and the garden.

The water

Calcium and magnesium dominate the analysis. According to the venue the water is used for respiratory and skin complaints.

Saunas

The hottest is the Sahara sauna, up to 95 °C. Two cabins run at 90 °C — the Seesauna and the Aufgusssauna, where the infusions are held — and the Salzsauna at 85 °C. The Panoramasauna and the Erdsauna sit at 80 °C, the Mühlensauna at 70 °C, and the Himalaya salt grotto at 60 °C. Two gentler cabins run at 50 °C: the Biosauna and the Lichtersauna. A TV sauna, an infrared sauna, a Spanish steam bath and a Moorish hamam complete the set.

Visiting

The bath opens 11:00 to 23:00 from Monday to Saturday and 11:00 to 21:00 on Sundays and public holidays; the sauna landscape itself is given as 11:00 to 22:00. A short-stay adult ticket is listed at 14.50 EUR. The bath is at Kohlleppelsweg 45.
