Nautiland
Nautiland is a year-round indoor and outdoor leisure bath in the centre of Haguenau in Alsace, with an open-air 90-metre rapid river, a refurbished speed slide, two water playgrounds, whirlpool and massage-jet basins, and an adults-only wellness area holding saunas, hammams, cold baths and an outdoor spa.
About
Nautiland is a municipal-scale leisure bath in Haguenau, Bas-Rhin, whose own pages place it "en plein cœur de Haguenau" and about ten minutes on foot from Haguenau railway station, with regular trains from Strasbourg. The postal address printed in the legal notice is 8 rue des dominicains, 67500 Haguenau. The water is ordinary treated pool water: nothing on the operator's bathing, wellness, sport, tariff or legal pages claims a spring, a thermal source or a mineral content, and the house is drained once a year for a compulsory emptying and maintenance shutdown — in the 2025 season from 28 November to 7 December.
The attraction set is split between an outdoor and an indoor part. The headline ride is the rivière sauvage, a rapid river the operator describes as running outdoors over more than 90 m of length with 3 metres of drop, on which bathers are carried at up to 14 km/h through slopes, bumps and eddies alternating with calmer stretches. The original speed slide has been kept in its old outer shell but rebuilt inside, with a darkened section lit by LEDs, a speed display at the exit and a hydraulic braking run-out; a second, smaller slide for young children was added on the ground floor, ending in the learner pool. There are two depth-free water playgrounds: an outdoor one with water jets, a pirate boat, a giant tipping bucket, a bird's-nest swing, roundabouts and a climbing cage, and an indoor one where lighting and projection are used in place of a conventional paddling pool. The operator does not publish a total count of pools or slides.
A relaxation area is included in the ordinary swimming ticket: a bubble bath heated to 33 degrees, with a minimum age of 12 and a recommended limit of about fifteen minutes, and a basin with massage seats at 29 degrees fed by hydromassage jets. An outdoor barefoot sensory trail of pebbles, log rounds, wood chips, gravel and sandstone setts is open to all visitors year-round, weather permitting. The separate Espace Wellness, closed to under-18s and charged as a supplement, holds saunas, hammams, cold baths, foot-bath tubs and an ice fountain, and is divided into a fully separated naturist part and a swimsuit part; an outdoor spa with whirlpool baths sits on a wooden terrace behind a slatted screen and planting, and a silent rest room adjoins. Two independent practitioners offer massages and head-spa treatments, with wellness access included in each booked treatment. A sports programme of aquabiking, aquaboxing, aquajogging, aquagym and swimming lessons from age 5 runs in the pools.
Nautiland opens every day of the week: Monday to Friday continuously from 12:00 to 21:00 outside school holidays and from 10:00 to 21:00 during zone B school holidays, and Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 9:00 to 19:00. It closes on 25 and 26 December, 31 December and 1 January, and once a year for the draining works. Admission, on the tariff scale in force since 1 January 2023, is 6.50 € for a two-hour adult ticket and 8.00 € for an adult day ticket, with reduced rates of 5.20 € and 6.50 € for children aged 4 to 12, disabled visitors and their companion, over-60s and students; a day ticket including sauna and hammam is 14.00 €, and sauna and hammam access on top of a pool ticket is 7.00 €. Family tariffs run from 20.00 € for two adults and one child to 27.50 € for two adults and three children.
