Welldorado

Welldorado is run by the city of Wels and stands at Rosenauer Straße 70, 4600 Wels, in Upper Austria. It is a heated leisure bath: neither the indoor bath, the open-air bath nor the sauna pages make any claim to a thermal spring, a mineral water, a borehole or brine, and no source temperature or water analysis is published. The house does run Kneipp facilities in the sauna area, with warm and cold water applications and described stations, but these use ordinary water.

The indoor bath holds four basins, each with its own temperature. The Erlebnisbecken runs at 29 °C, carries a 40 m slide and has underwater massage benches with bubble jets. The school and sports pool is 25 m long and 314 m² in area, with six lanes, at 27 °C. The Lehrschwimmbecken, used by the Swim-Academy, runs at 29 °C, and the children's paddling pool, which has its own slide and a clown, at 30 °C. The lower floor holds the sauna, Kneipp installations, infrared cabins, solaria, a massage and cosmetics institute, a hairdresser and a restaurant. During the summer season the indoor bath opens only in bad weather, and in fine weather only until 12:00; its summer hours are Monday to Friday 09:00–21:00 and Saturday, Sunday and holidays 09:00–20:00, with bathing ending 30 minutes and the cash desk 60 minutes before closing. Adult admission is 9.10 €, a three-hour short tariff 5.50 €, reduced 3.80 €.

The open-air bath runs from 1 May to 20 September 2026, daily 09:00 to 20:00, and the operator states that it has four pools — naming them family, sports, children's and baby pools in one place and, in the detailed list, an Erlebnisbecken, a 50 m sports pool, a non-swimmers' pool 1.35 m deep with a slide, and a paddling pool with a sun sail, play stream, pond and slide. The Erlebnisbecken carries a 100 m slide and a 19 m wide slide, bubble jets and a current channel, and there is a 10 m diving tower. The family pool has barrier-free access for wheelchair users. The grounds also hold a beach volleyball court, a football pitch, a toddlers' playground for ages one to six and an adventure playground for six to fourteen. Adult admission is 6.00 €, reduced 2.90 €, with a short tariff from 16:30 at 2.70 € and an adult season ticket at 129.70 €.

The sauna area covers close to 2,000 m² and is split into Sauna 1, mixed daily, and Sauna 2, men only on Mondays, women only on Tuesdays and mixed from Wednesday to Sunday; the two are closed for maintenance in turn over the summer. The operator contradicts itself on the cabins: the Welldorado overview page states "drei Saunakammern, zwei Finnische Saunen, zwei Biosaunen, eine Dampfkammer sowie zwei Infrarotkabinen", while the sauna page states "vier Finnische Saunen (davon zwei im Freien) und drei Biosaunen" plus three infrared cabins and mentions no steam chamber. Both pages agree only on the area. Two plunge pools are held at about 15 °C, and there are warming benches with foot-warming basins. Sauna hours match the indoor bath's summer hours; adult admission is 18.90 €, a three-hour tariff 12.20 €, reduced 9.50 €. A second, smaller contradiction sits on the indoor bath page: its tariff table prices a solarium token at 7.10 € and an infrared token at 9.70 €, while the Wellsolair text below prices the same visits at 6.90 € and 9.40 €. An annual ticket is valid for the indoor bath, the open-air bath and, separately priced, the sauna. The operator publishes no opening year for the complex.
