Therme Zillertal

Therme Zillertal stands at Badweg 1 in Fügen, Tyrol, and is run by Freizeitzentrum Zillertal GmbH; the database name Erlebnistherme Zillertal matches the older domain erlebnistherme-zillertal.at, which now redirects to therme-zillertal.at, while the operator's own pages brand the house simply as Therme Zillertal. Despite the word Therme, the site nowhere claims a thermal spring: across the home, Aqua, Spa, Freibad and hours-and-prices pages the words Thermalwasser, Heilwasser, Quelle and Mineral do not occur at all. The water is plain heated pool water, warmed with district heat and solar energy, with one exception — a brine pool described as “2% Sole – fast wie Meerwasser” with a stated salt content of 2 per cent, which is prepared brine rather than a natural source.

The bath is arranged on two floors, an AQUA level for families and a SPA level for adults only. The Aqua page gives the water world as 1,000 m² and enumerates seven adventure pools: a 600 m² Erlebnisbecken whose indoor and outdoor halves run into one another, a 172 m² wave pool with waves on the hour, a Wildwasserkanal driven by underwater jets, the 96 m² brine pool, the 96 m² Blubber-Grotte behind a waterfall, a 65 m² toddler pool and the 272 m² ZILLANTIS children's world. Pool temperatures are given as 32–34 °C throughout, although the running text on the same page speaks of “sieben Erlebnisbecken bei 34 °C Wassertemperatur” — the figures 32–34 and 34 stand side by side on one page. Two slides start indoors: Black Hole, 134 m and dropping from 14 metres, described as the longest water slide in western Austria, and the 133 m Red Tube tyre slide. A Zirbenwood bio sauna at 50 °C sits inside the family bath rather than in the sauna area.

The adults-only SPA covers 1,670 m². Its own page lists six indoor heat rooms — Panoramasauna at 80–100 °C for 55 people, Black & White at 80–100 °C, a Tropensauna at 50 °C, an infrared cabin at 45 °C, a steam bath at 40–48 °C and a Tepidarium at 28–40 °C — plus indoor plunge pools; outdoors there is a 90 °C garden sauna for 60 people, a 100 m² textile-free Relax-Pool at 34 °C, a 36 m² Panoramabecken at 33 °C, a 4 °C plunge pool, open-air showers, a stone garden and a 258 m² rooftop terrace. The home page instead states “sieben verschiedene Indoor-Sauna- und Dampfkabinen sowie eine Gartensauna”; that count of seven indoor cabins contradicts the six the Spa page enumerates, so no cabin total is recorded here. Seven sauna infusions a day are advertised.

A separate open-air bath adjoins the building, with 1,700 m² of water surface kept heated by district heat and solar energy, two slides of 60 m and 74 m from a tower, a Trio-Slide for children from six, a current channel, four cascade showers, a red water mushroom, a 25 m sports pool with four lanes, a baby pool with a small slide, a 5,000 m² lawn, a covered lounging terrace, a beach volleyball court, a trampoline, a slackline and a playground. An outdoor ice rink runs from December to February, daily 13:00 to 20:00.

The bath opens Monday to Sunday 10:00 to 22:00, with the sauna and spa area from 13:00 to 22:00; 24 December and 31 December are shortened, and the next maintenance closure is announced for 7 to 20 June 2027. Bathing admission for adults is 14.70 € for two hours, 19.00 € for three hours, 34.20 € for a day ticket and 24.20 € for an evening ticket from 17:30; sauna alone for adults is 22.10 € for two hours and 45.50 € for a day, and a combined three-hour bath-and-sauna ticket is 34.00 €. Weekends and public holidays carry a 10 per cent surcharge on all tariffs, children under six enter free when accompanied by their parents, and under-15s are not admitted to the sauna. No opening year is stated anywhere on the operator's pages.
