Vita Alpina Erlebnis & Wellnessbad

Vita Alpina Erlebnis & Wellnessbad stands at Brander Str. 1, 83324 Ruhpolding, in the Chiemgau district of Upper Bavaria, and is presented in the site title as "Wellness, Sauna und Freibad in Ruhpolding". It has three parts sold under separate tariffs but usable together: an indoor Erlebnisbad, a Saunalandschaft, and a summer Freibad. The house's signature is the wave pool, which the operator claims as the first in the Bavarian Alps, with waves timed "immer 5 Minuten vor der halben und der ganzen Stunde". Most of the water is plain heated pool water; the one mineral basin is the Urmeertherme, described as a "33 °C warmes Sole-Außenbecken mit einzigartigem Blick auf die Ruhpoldinger Hausberge" with massage loungers. No spring, well depth or mineralisation figure is published, and the operator does not call the house a Therme beyond that pool's name.

The indoor bath also holds an adventure slide with light and water effects, given as "75 m Erlebnisrutsche" on the Erlebnisbad page but as "knapp 80m Rutschvergnügen" on the Freibad page; a shallow water playground with a non-slip floor, a Kneipp basin with waterfall, a learner pool, a steam grotto at 45 °C with 100 % humidity, and a solarium charged at 4.00 € for seven minutes. Children's swimming courses run several times a year. The Freibad, open in summer, offers a 50-metre sports pool, a non-swimmer pool with a water slide, diving boards at 1, 3 and 5 metres, a children's paddling pool, a lawn of around 11,000 m², a volleyball court, a boule pitch, a small playground and a kiosk; outdoor-pool visitors may use the indoor slide free of charge.

The sauna landscape enumerates five heat rooms without giving a total: a Finnish sauna at 90 °C with about 10 % humidity and regular infusions; a Sanarium at 60 °C and 55 % humidity with colour-light therapy, run at 80 °C on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays; a Mühlensauna at 75 °C with 10–30 % humidity, automatic infusion and a salt stone; an outdoor Brechelbad at 55 °C and 45 % humidity with essential oils; and a combined Dampfbad & Aromasalzbad at 46 °C and 100 % humidity. A plunge pool with waterfall, a sauna garden with terrace and lawn, quiet and meditation rooms, a sauna bar and a restaurant complete it. From 19:00 the learner pool is handed over to the sauna area and is textile-free; the rest of the bath is mixed and textile. Sauna visits under 16 require an adult companion.

Opening hours are given as Erlebnisbad daily 10:00–20:00 and Saunalandschaft daily 15:00–21:00, with a winter pattern from 1 October 2026 to 4 April 2027 of Monday to Friday 15:00–21:00 and Saturday, Sunday, holidays and Bavarian school holidays 13:00–21:00; the Freibad ran 29 May to 6 September 2026, daily 10:00–19:00 and until 20:00 in fine weather. Adult admission to the Erlebnisbad is 13.00 € for two hours, 15.50 € for three and 22.00 € for a day ticket; the sauna landscape is 22.50 € for three hours, 24.00 € for four and 28.50 € for the day, and sauna guests may use the indoor and outdoor pools at no extra charge. Single outdoor-pool entry is 7.00 €. Two pages disagree on the evening tariff: the Erlebnisbad page advertises "Täglich ab 19 Uhr // 2 Stunden // 8,00€ (nur Erlebnisbad)", while the price page gives "Täglich ab 18.00 Uhr // bis Badeschluss (=max. 2 Stunden) // 9,00 € (statt 13,00€)".
