Aqua Nova

Aqua Nova is the leisure and family bath of Wiener Neustadt in Lower Austria, at Ferdinand Graf von Zeppelinstr. 12, 2700 Wiener Neustadt. The water is not thermal and the operator names no spring or well: the pools are conventional treated water held at set temperatures, and the operator presents the house as an Erlebnis- und Familienbad rather than a spa.

The indoor hall holds 1,000 square metres of water surface. Its sports pool covers 533 square metres with eight lanes over 25 metres, kept at a constant 26 °C, which the operator notes is the official competition temperature. The teaching pool covers 148 square metres at 28 °C, warmed to 30 °C for baby swimming courses. The leisure section covers 317 square metres at 30 °C and carries a waterfall, a wild-water channel, underwater massage loungers and massage jets, a geyser, air bubbles and a whirlpool at 36 °C; its centrepiece is a 100-metre water slide with sound and light effects, which the operator calls the longest in the whole of Lower Austria.

The outdoor area is described as new and holds four basins. The slide landing pool covers 205 square metres at 24 °C with a wide slide and a water mushroom; the diving pool covers 318 square metres at 24 °C under a tower with 1, 3 and 5 metre platforms; the children's pool covers 60 square metres at 24 °C under a sun sail, with a 48 square metre water playground beside it; and the outdoor sports pool is 25 metres long with four lanes over 250 square metres at 26 °C. A kiosk, a beach volleyball court, a sun terrace and 6,500 square metres of lawn complete the area.

The sauna area holds a stated total of seven sauna chambers and two steam chambers, with two infrared cabins in the sauna area and one more in the swimming hall, plus plunge pools and rest rooms. The chambers listed are an LED light sauna for 20, a women's sauna for 30 and a men's sauna for 35, women's and men's sanariums for 23 and 24, a Finnish sauna for 23 and an underfloor sauna in the open grounds for 35, with sauna courtyards for women, men and mixed use, separate cold and warm plunge pools indoors and outdoors, and guided infusions. The house is open daily from 9.00 to 21.30, with bathing and sauna ending at 21.00; morning swimming in the sports pools runs Monday to Friday from 6.30 to 8.00.
