Avita Therme

The bath belongs to the AVITA Resort at Bad Tatzmannsdorf, a spa town in Burgenland. It opened on 26 October 1995 as the Burgenlandtherme; the hotel followed in 2003 and the AVITA Resort name has been used since 2011. The operator gives 2,000 m² of water, fifteen pools and 24 saunas: sixteen in the Sauna Garten Eden, four in the women-only Lady's Spa and four in the AVITA Exklusiv area for hotel guests, with a fitness centre alongside.

The water is thermal and comes from a spring. The operator puts the source temperature at 34 °C and names sodium (629 mg/l), chloride (285.5 mg/l) and hydrogencarbonate (1,068 mg/l), with dissolved solids totalling 2,308.8 mg/l. It states plainly that the water is free of sulphur and radon. On effects it is careful: the warm water, it says, can help relax the muscles and relieve the joints.

The pools run from 28 to 36 °C. The relaxation pool at the centre, 34 °C, links the indoor and outdoor halves and has a bar serving into the water; the adventure, relax, whirlpool, massage and children's pools are each 36 °C. A 25-metre, 320 m² sports pool is held at 28 °C, and a soft pool beside it opens outdoors from mid-April to end of September. A 1,200 m² bathing pond sits in the grounds; the infinity pool is for hotel guests only.

The Sauna Garten Eden holds sixteen saunas, among them what the operator calls Austria's first snow sauna at -11 to -5 °C, a low-temperature Darre at 65 °C, steam baths and a nude pool at 36 °C. Every sauna area has a minimum age of 13. Opening is 9.00–22.00 Sunday to Thursday, to 00.30 on Friday and 23.00 on Saturday.
