Aquacity St. Pölten

Aquacity is the indoor bath of the city of St. Pölten, at Schießstattring 15 in the centre of town, five minutes on foot from the railway station. The operator describes it as spread over three floors with more than 6,000 m². The bath hall and the sauna world, branded SaunaCity, are run as one house with separate opening hours, and the sauna may be entered with children.

The main attraction is a 72 m water slide called 'Black Hole', which drops through two storeys into a run-out pool. Next to the family play area with its play brook are a whirlpool, a flow carousel and massage loungers. For swimming there is a 25 m sports pool and a 16.6 m teaching pool used for swimming courses for all ages; the operator describes the teaching pool as holding body-warm water but gives no water temperature for it or any other pool.

SaunaCity has two Finnish saunas, a bio-sauna, a brine steam bath, a herbal bath, cold- and warm-water pools, infrared cabins, a solarium, a sauna buffet, showers, and a roof terrace with a 200 m² quiet room. The operator gives no cabin temperatures. The bath is closed on Mondays and otherwise opens Tuesday to Friday 10.00-21.00, Saturday 9.00-21.00, Sunday 9.00-20.00 and on public holidays 9.00-21.00, with early swimming on Tuesday and Thursday 6.15-7.45 and on Sunday 7.30-9.00, suspended during the school holidays. SaunaCity opens on Monday as a women's day from 14.00-21.00, Tuesday and Thursday 13.00-21.00, Wednesday and Friday 10.00-21.00, Saturday 9.00-21.00 and on Sundays and public holidays 9.00-20.00. Tickets are also sold online.
