Termas de Cuntis

Set in the village of Cuntis in Pontevedra province, deep in the green interior of Galicia, Termas de Cuntis (Balneario de Cuntis) bills itself as "the largest thermal spa in Galicia". Its thermal tradition draws on natural hot springs that have made the village a destination for restorative bathing for generations.

Thermal water and source

The waters of Cuntis are mineral-medicinal, classed as sulphurous-sodium, hyperthermal and strongly mineralised. Several springs feed the resort, emerging across a wide range of temperatures; the celebrated Fuego de Dios ("Fire of God") spring reaches up to around 64°C. The water carries sulphides and sulphates, sodium, silica, fluoride, calcium and magnesium, and is valued for anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and antioxidant properties.

Pools, baths and thermal circuit

At its heart is the balneario proper, with more than 40 individual treatment cabins offering hydromassage baths, water jets, mud treatments, thermal pools, saunas and steam rooms. Alongside it, AcquaForm is a playful thermal-leisure circuit combining therapeutic benefits with a sensory experience, with both indoor and outdoor pools, plus a Vital Club featuring saunas and ice cabins.

Spa and wellness

The spa menu extends to massages, therapeutic and recreational programmes, INDIBA technology treatments and dedicated respiratory programmes, including one aimed at children.

The resort maintains a dedicated section for children ("Los niños en Termas de Cuntis"), designed so that families can enjoy a comfortable stay together.

Guests can stay on-site in one of two four-star hotels, Hotel La Virgen and Hotel Castro do Balneario, offering modern comforts and direct access to the thermal facilities.

Visiting

The AcquaForm circuit is open Monday to Sunday, 10:00–13:30 and 16:00–21:30. The spa sits on Rua do Balneario in the centre of Cuntis.
