Vodný raj Vyhne

Vodný raj lies in the village of Vyhne in the Štiavnica Hills of central Slovakia. It is run by the municipality of Vyhne and combines a summer open-air bath with a year-round indoor relaxation and sports centre.

The pools are filled with natural thermal water that reaches the surface at 36.5–37 °C. Insulated pipework carries it to a plant room under the main pool, where it is filtered, disinfected and cooled by a heat pump to each pool's temperature; the operator puts the range across the sections at 29 to 36 °C. It describes the water as ferruginous, calcium- and magnesium-bearing, with iron oxide and silicic acid, and claims a beneficial effect on nerve inflammation, women's complaints, joint and muscular rheumatism, skin conditions and convalescence after heart disease.

In the main season, June to September, the multi-purpose pool is in use: a non-swimmers' part of 11.5 × 21.5 m, two swimming sections of 25 m and 50 m, and a diving garden 4.0 m deep, all at 29–30 °C. Beside it are a relaxation pool with water attractions at 30–32 °C, a toboggan run-out pool and a children's pool for under-sixes. From September to May the indoor outflow pool takes over at 36 °C, with hydromassage benches, bubble jets and a jacuzzi, and an outflow to the open air that runs all year.

The relaxation centre adds four saunas, a jacuzzi, hydromassage baths, a wine bath and a range of massages, and the site has two bowling lanes and squash. Opening is daily 13:00–21:00, with the last admission at 19:30.
