Vodný raj Vyhne

Vodný raj Vyhne stands in the village of Vyhne in the Štiavnické vrchy of central Slovakia, on ground the operator describes as once-famous baths in an area known for its healing thermal springs. It is run by the municipality as OBEC VYHNE, prevádzka Vodný raj Vyhne, with the operating address given as Vyhne 26, 966 02 Vyhne. The operator calls it a relaxation and sports centre available whatever the weather or season.

The water is natural thermal water described as ferrous, calcareous and magnesian, containing carbon freely bound in CO2, magnesium, iron and iron oxide, silicon and silicic acid. Its temperature at the source is 36.5 to 37 °C; an insulated pipe carries it to the plant room beneath the multi-purpose pool, where it is filtered, disinfected, chemically treated, recirculated and cooled by a heat pump to the required temperature. The operator states that the pools are filled with natural thermal water at between 29 and 36 °C across the sections.

In the main summer season, which the operator says runs from June to September, the outdoor basins operate: a multi-purpose pool divided into a non-swimmers' relaxation part of 11.5 by 21.5 m and 1.10 to 1.25 m deep, a first swimming part of 7.55 by 25 m and 1.35 to 1.80 m deep, a second of 7.55 by 50 m and 1.25 to 1.80 m deep and a diving chamber of 13.5 by 3.9 m at 4.0 m depth, all at 29 to 30 °C; a non-swimmers' relaxation pool with water attractions at 30 to 32 °C; a slide run-out pool at 29 to 30 °C; and a children's pool for under-sixes at 29 to 30 °C. No total pool count is published; the information board at the entrance names the multi-purpose, children's, outflow and slide run-out pools. In the off-season, which the operator puts at September to May, the indoor outflow pool operates, set in the sports and relaxation building with a year-round outflow to the exterior, with hydromassage benches, air-bubble jets, a counter-current and a jacuzzi. That building also holds a set of four saunas, alongside massages, hydromassage baths, bowling and squash. Opening hours are Monday to Sunday 13:00 to 21:00, with the pool operating until 20:30 and the last hourly admission at 19:30.
