Thermal water & setting

The MARGITA-ILONA recreational facility lies on the border of the Danube Lowland and the Štiavnica Mountains, about 6 km from Levice in the direction of Šahy. It is surrounded by gentle hilly countryside suited to walking and cycling, and combines a swimming-pool site with a large camping resort, sports areas, restaurants and buffets.

All of the pools are filled with thermal water of roughly 25 °C carrying a mineral-salt content of about 1,020 mg/l. The water is kept clean by recirculation through an on-site pool water treatment plant.

Pools & attractions

• Swimming pool ADAM - 50 m x 21 m, water depth 170-200 cm, water temperature 23-26 °C; filled with thermal water and operated by recirculation.
• Children's pool TEREZA - 25 m x 12 m, depth 110-130 cm, 23-26 °C, fitted with basketball hoops and a volleyball net.
• Recreational pool EVA - 50 m x 21 m, depth 0-200 cm, 23-26 °C, with a water mushroom, a 10 m water slide and a gently sloping beach-style entry (starting at 0 cm) ideal for sunbathing.
• Pool for children up to 6 years ILONA - 16 m x 8 m, depth 30-40 cm; a small water mushroom, the "ŽABA" (frog) slide, a popular spiral slide, and a hippo and elephant spouting water. The daily fresh 25 °C water is additionally warmed by solar collectors, reaching 28 °C on part-sunny afternoons and 30-33 °C on clear days, with a beach entry from which parents can watch their children.

Water chute & slide

A 71 m long water chute (toboggan) and a 10 m water slide are available free of charge to both day visitors and camping guests, running in favourable weather during set daily time slots.

Family & kids

The resort is strongly family-oriented, with two dedicated children's pools, water play features and slides. Within the camp there is a sandpit with slides, climbing frames and swings, a children's corner for kids up to 9 years, and a common room for use in poor weather.

Sport & relax

Directly in the camping area guests can use courts for beach volleyball, streetball (basketball) and football, table tennis, a minigolf course and giant chess - all usable until 22:00 under artificial lighting. A sports-equipment rental is available, and use of these facilities is included in the accommodation price.

Dining

Meals are available all day from numerous fast-food stalls and a restaurant, both on the swimming-pool site and in the camp. The pool area has three ice-cream stalls, two trdelník stalls, a langoš stall and five fast-food bistros; the camp additionally offers a restaurant, another bistro, a grocery shop and a textile and souvenir stall.

Accommodation

The camping site provides 250 beds with power connections for tents and caravans, alongside bungalows, apartments and cabins.
