The mineral water captured at the São Vicente springs is a sulfurous water, hypomineralised and weakly mineralised, of the sodium bicarbonate type, fluorinated, sulfhydrated and alkaline in reaction. It emerges at an average temperature of around 18.5°C, classifying it as a cool, hypothermal water. Its therapeutic uses are officially recognised by the Portuguese health authorities for rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions, respiratory disorders and certain skin diseases.
