About

Termas de Longroiva is a modern thermal spa set in the village of Longroiva, in the municipality of Mêda in Portugal's Guarda district, on the edge of the Douro. It draws on ancestral mineral waters that emerge from a unique geological setting and is integrated with the four-star Longroiva Hotel & Termal SPA.

Thermal water & source

The natural mineral water is sulfurous and weakly mineralised, emerging at the source at a temperature of 47°C. It is bicarbonated sodium, fluoridated and rich in non-ionised silica, with an alkaline reaction (pH around 8), traditionally used for musculoskeletal and respiratory conditions.

Pools & baths

  • Indoor thermal pool connected to the hotel
  • Outdoor pool with terrace
  • Hydromassage and hydrotherapy circuits

Spa & wellness

The complex combines a classical thermal treatment area with a spa and wellness division offering several treatment rooms and services, including sauna, jacuzzi and steam-based treatments in a calm, disconnected setting.

Hotel & setting

The adjoining Longroiva Hotel & Termal SPA pairs a restored 19th-century building with a modern wing and an on-site restaurant serving regional cuisine. The remote location gives easy access to the Douro wine routes and the historical villages of the region.
