Termas de Entre-os-Rios

Termas de Entre-os-Rios is a historic thermal spa set at Quinta da Torre in Eja, Penafiel, on the banks of the Douro near its confluence with the Tamega. Sought since the late 19th century for rest and treatment, the station is today operated by the INATEL Foundation.

Sulphurous thermal water

The spring yields a weakly mineralised, sulphurous water of the bicarbonate-sodium type, emerging at around 18C with a pH near 8.7. It is drawn from roughly 120 metres underground, which helps keep it bacteriologically and chemically stable.

The waters are indicated for respiratory conditions (ENT and lung), rheumatic and musculoskeletal complaints, and skin disorders.

Spa & wellness

Wellness options include general and partial massages alongside hydromassage baths and needle showers.

Hotel

The thermal baths are served by an INATEL hotel unit with 42 fully equipped rooms, plus a restaurant and bar, meeting room, chapel, sports facilities and private parking. The property has recently been closed for remodelling.
