A historic spa complex at Darfo Boario Terme in Valle Camonica, built on four cold sulphate-bicarbonate-calcium-magnesium springs used for drinking cures, with a separate three-hour spa circuit of thermal pools, saunas and a salt room.

About

Terme di Boario stands at Corso Italia 91 in Darfo Boario Terme, in the Valle Camonica valley of the province of Brescia. The operator describes four waters drawn from different sources in the same basin: "Presso le Terme si trovano quattro tipi di acque , che sgorgano da differenti fonti dello stesso bacino." They are named Antica Fonte, Fausta, Igea and Boario. The site classifies them as sulphate-bicarbonate-calcium-magnesium waters and calls them cold, at 13-15 °C. Two of the four, Fonte Essenziale (the bottled form of Antica Fonte) and Acqua Boario, are sold in bottles; Fausta and Igea can only be drunk on site. The waters are used mainly for drinking cures directed at the digestive tract, the liver and the biliary system, and the operator states that Antica Fonte drinking therapy began here in the 18th century.

The bathing offer is a separate SPA & Wellness circuit, sold as a three-hour route. According to the operator it comprises two pools with thermal water, an outdoor pool with hydromassage overlooking the thermal park, a Finnish sauna, a Turkish bath, a Mediterranean bath, experience showers, a Kneipp walk, an ice fountain, a relaxation area and a salt room. Entry is from 14 years of age and booking is required. Admission to the spa circuit is listed in the operator's shop at €35.00 on weekdays and €45.00 on Sundays and holidays.

Alongside the spa there is a medical treatment centre offering inhalation cures, mud and balneotherapy, a vascular circuit, irrigation therapies, physiotherapy and an outpatient clinic. Opening is by fixed admission slots rather than continuous hours: in the August 2026 schedule the spa is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with entries at 12:30 and 16:00 on Mondays and Thursdays, at 12:30, 16:00 and 19:30 on Fridays, and at 10:00, 13:30 and 17:00 on Saturdays. The surrounding thermal park has been run since 2023 by the Consorzio Turistico Thermae & Ski Valle Camonica and is open free of charge every day during the summer season. The history page dates the origin of the cure centre to the end of the 18th century with the building of the Casino Boario, and the Liberty-style dome that became the emblem of the baths to 1913; no single opening year is published for the current establishment.
