About

Terme di Comano is a thermal spa and treatment centre in the locality of Terme di Comano, in the municipality of Stenico, set in the Valle di Comano in Trentino at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites. It is run by the Azienda Consorziale Terme di Comano and combines a medical thermal centre, a wellness spa, an outdoor thermal park, and the associated Grand Hotel Terme di Comano into a single wellness complex.

Thermal water

The Comano thermal water flows naturally from its source at a constant 27°C. The site describes it as a slightly mineralised, bicarbonate-calcium-magnesium water with a pH close to neutral, giving it soothing, remineralising, anti-inflammatory and detoxifying properties. The spa reports that the water hosts a microorganism unique to Comano's thermal microbiota, named Mesorhizobium comanense, credited with immunomodulating, antibacterial and regenerative properties. The spa states it has studied the water's efficacy since 1928.

Medical treatments and indications

The thermal centre focuses on balneotherapy for the skin, alongside respiratory therapies. Stated indications include psoriasis, atopic dermatitis (in both adults and children), impure or acne-prone skin, and respiratory conditions. Bathing treatments involve roughly 20-minute immersions in dedicated private rooms filled with pure thermal water, taken once or twice daily; a full cycle is recommended for at least 6 consecutive days, with 12 days considered optimal, and can be repeated twice a year with a 3-4 month interval. These thermal cures are accredited with Italy's national health service (SSN). The spa also runs the Comano Med centre, offering specialist consultations and diagnostics.

Spa, pools and park

The Thermal Spa covers about 3,500 sqm and is designed as a path of water, steam and relaxation, with regenerating heat baths and showers using Comano thermal water, thermal aesthetic treatments, signature massages and Day Spa experiences. Outdoor pools sit within the thermal park, surrounded by relaxation areas. The park itself spans 14 hectares of paths, meadows, small ponds and centuries-old trees, and hosts nature-based wellness activities such as Nordic walking, forest bathing and breathwalking; as of 2025 it is qualified for Forest Therapy.

Prices

The official site lists Day Spa access from €85, wellness experiences from €70, a Thermal Experience from €150 per day and a Thermal Experience Longevity from €239 per day.
