Thermal Spa Siklós

Thermal Spa Siklós is a thermal bath in Siklós, in the south of Baranya county in Hungary, which the operator places at the foot of Siklós Castle and describes as open in both winter and summer. The site gives the bathing building as more than 5,000 square metres and describes an interior ringed by coloured bastions that deliberately recall the castle above. According to the operator the complex holds 12 pools in all, with 1,923 square metres of water surface, and every pool is filled with thermal water.

Thermal water

The operator publishes a water analysis taken from its thermal well in operation, with the borehole given at Egyházasharaszti. The figures listed include bicarbonate at 421 mg/l, sulphate at 217 mg/l, calcium at 108 mg/l and sodium at 67 mg/l. The page does not state the temperature at the wellhead or the depth of the borehole.

Pools

Indoors the site lists six adult pools and three children's pools in one hall: a drift pool with a current channel, a bubble pool, a massage pool with directed jets, a warm seated pool, a Turkish bath and a plunge pool given at about 20 C. The approximate indoor temperatures the operator publishes run from roughly 32 C to 37 C, with the Turkish bath at the warm end. Outdoors the site lists a warm seated pool and a jacuzzi at about 34 C, a children's and teaching pool at about 33 C, and a 33-metre swimming pool at about 26 C. The site states that the outdoor pools are closed from 1 September 2026.

Sauna and wellness

The site describes a sauna world of seven different cabins: two traditional Finnish saunas it gives at 80 to 100 C, two infrared saunas at 40 to 60 C, a steam cabin it describes as close to 100 per cent humidity, an aroma cabin, and a salt room walled with natural salt crystals. A wood-fired Russian sauna stands outside and runs at weekends, with sessions led by trained sauna masters using aromatic infusions and a separate ticket. For children the operator lists three warm-water pools of differing depths, water toys, a large rainbow slide and two giant slides.

Opening hours

From 1 September the operator gives the hours as Monday to Thursday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday and public holidays 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the bathing area closing 30 minutes before the building. Hours change with the season. The site states that the bath is linked to the four-star Hotel Castello by an enclosed corridor.
