Szarvasi Szent Klára Gyógyfürdő is the medicinal bath of Szarvas, on Hungary's Southern Great Plain, a town bath that carries a certified medicinal water alongside a 25-metre sports pool.

The water

The water comes from a well 570 metres deep and holds the Hungarian gyógyvíz designation, an official medicinal certification. Hydrogen carbonate and sulphur dominate the analysis. According to the venue it is used for musculoskeletal and gynaecological complaints.

Pools and programme

The 25-metre sports pool is used for lane swimming and for training, and the bath runs swimming instruction, baby swimming and water aerobics. Therapeutic treatments and regenerative services are offered alongside the bathing.

Visiting

The bath opens 10:00 to 20:00 on most days, later at 14:00 on Mondays, and closes at 21:00 on Wednesdays and 22:00 on Fridays.

Prices

Non-residents pay 1,700 Ft for a morning entry, 3,200 Ft for a full day and 2,750 Ft from 17:00; students and pensioners pay 2,750 Ft for a day and 2,400 Ft in the evening, and a family ticket for four with at most two adults is 10,500 Ft. Groups of ten or more pay the evening rate. Residents of Szarvas, on proof of address, pay 1,700 Ft in the morning or evening and 2,000 Ft for a day, with a family ticket at 6,000 Ft and an athlete's ticket at 500 Ft. A sauna ticket on top of admission is 800 Ft, baby swimming 3,200 Ft, and children under three enter free with a parent. Eleven-entry passes valid for three months run from 14,000 to 32,000 Ft. The rates have applied since 1 January 2025. The bath is at Kossuth Lajos utca 23.
