About

Napfényfürdő Aquapolis Szeged is a combined wellness, medicinal and adventure bath in Szeged, Hungary. The complex spans about 4,400 square metres of water surface and brings together indoor and outdoor adventure pools, a summer beach area, an extensive slide park, a sauna world and the Forrás Spa built around the site's own thermal spring.

The water

The venue's thermal water comes from the Dóra Spring, which the operator describes as rich in sodium hydrogen carbonate and metasilicic acid. The associated Dóra Balneotherapy Center opened on 2 July 2021. The bath is a certified medicinal (gyógy) facility.

Pools and slides

Indoor and outdoor pools are provided for all age groups. The indoor adventure area features current channels, waterfalls, bubble beds and other experience elements alongside a slide park. From May to September a beach area is also open, with a teaching pool, a swimming pool, a slide pool and children's splash areas. In total the site has thirteen slides — nine indoor and four outdoor — with a combined length of roughly 1,000 metres. Among them is a 272-metre enclosed giant slide launched from a 30-metre tower, described by the operator as Europe's longest year-round water slide, and a 223-metre enclosed giant slide with a kamikaze section.

Sauna world

The sauna world offers five types of sauna. A steam cabin runs at 45–50 °C with 90–95% humidity and seats 16, and is noted as beneficial for respiratory complaints such as sore throat and cough. There are two Finnish saunas at 90–95 °C with 10–30% humidity — an indoor version for 20 people and a log-cabin version for 15 — plus an infrared sauna at 45–52 °C for 9 people, a salt room, and an aroma cabin. Scheduled sauna programmes led by sauna masters, including themed sessions such as honey-mint, coffee-sugar and forest walk, run through the week.

Forrás Spa and wellness

The Forrás Spa, open to guests aged 16 and over, includes a 25-metre lap pool, an experience pool, a bubble pool and access to the sauna world. It offers massages and beauty treatments using the Selvert Thermal and Spa du Monde product lines, with facial and body treatments and a Private Spa room for two.

Visiting

During the 2026 peak season (15 June – 31 August) the bath is open 7:00–20:00, with the indoor slide park opening at 9:00. A full-price adult day ticket is 9,500 HUF, with shorter 3-hour, evening and 1.5-hour tickets also available. The neighbouring Hunguest Hotel Szeged offers direct access to the pools.
