Anna Fürdő

Anna Fürdő is the historic bath of Szeged in southern Hungary, at Temesvári körút 33 on the inner ring road, run by the municipal company Szegedi Sportlétesítmények. The operator describes the building as a restored listed monument more than a hundred years old, and it now contains two establishments in the two wings of a single structure: a thermal bath in the right-hand wing and a wellness bath in the left-hand wing, the former women's wing. Their services are kept separate and can be bought individually or together on a combined ticket; the two wings enclose an inner courtyard used for sunbathing and refreshments in good weather. A third, medical department (Anna Fürdő Gyógyászat) shares the site and operates on its own schedule, but public bathing does not depend on it.

The thermal wing is aimed at families and groups. Its healing pool is fed by the recognised medicinal water of the Anna well, and the operator's technical description sets that pool at 37 °C over a 50 m² surface. Around it are a 98 m² swimming pool at 29 °C with depths of 1.30 to 1.65 m, two experience pools, a children's pool of 14.4 m² at 32 °C, a Finnish sauna and the sun courtyard. A weight bath, a traditional Hungarian traction treatment carried out in medicinal water, is listed at 37 °C over 8.1 m².

The wellness wing is entered on a single ticket and holds an aroma cabin, a steam cabin, experience showers, a Finnish sauna, an infrared sauna and a bio sauna, together with a large 60 m² experience pool at 34 °C, a 28.3 m² bubble-bed pool at 36 °C, a small 7 m² bubble pool at 38 °C, a 20.6 m² experience pool at 32 °C, a 7 m² bubble bath at 34 °C and two plunge pools of 8.5 and 7.5 m² at 15 and 10 °C respectively.

The thermal wing opens Monday to Friday from 6:00 to 20:00 — entry through the medical reception until 14:00 and the main entrance afterwards — and at weekends from 7:15 to 19:00. The wellness wing opens Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 20:00 and at weekends from 7:15 to 19:00, and a night bath covering both wings runs on Wednesdays and Fridays from 20:30 to 24:00. The medical department works Monday to Friday from 6:00 to 19:00 and is closed at weekends; on public holidays the bath keeps its weekend timetable. The wellness wing was shut for maintenance and refurbishment from 10 August 2026 with a stated reopening of 14:00 on Monday 7 September 2026, so that closure had ended by the time of writing, and further planned closure days are announced for 24-25 December and 31 December to 1 January.
