Csokonyavisontai Gyógyfürdő

Csokonyavisontai Gyógyfürdő (Csokonyavisonta Medicinal and Beach Spa) sits in the village of Csokonyavisonta in Somogy county, Southern Transdanubia, Hungary. The resort spreads across roughly 9 hectares and is set within a protected wooded landscape of old oak and juniper, giving it a calm, green setting for both healing and family recreation.

Thermal and medicinal water

The spa's thermal water was discovered in 1943 during oil exploration and soon proved to have a healing effect. It rises from underground at around 73C. The medicinal water is used to treat locomotor and degenerative spinal disorders, as well as chronic gynaecological ailments and inflammatory conditions.

Pools and baths

The complex offers nine pools in total, combining medicinal bathing with beach and swimming facilities:

• Two open-air and two indoor thermal pools kept at roughly 35-37C
• An experience pool with underwater jet massage and whirlpool features
• A children's pool (water depth 50-100 cm) at about 26-32C
• A paddling pool (water depth 30-50 cm) at about 30-35C
• A 25-metre swimming pool at about 22-26C
• An adjacent learning pool, about 1 metre deep, at about 22-26C
• Two free giant water slides

Sauna and wellness

Alongside the medicinal thermal pools, guests can enjoy sauna facilities together with whirlpool, jet-massage and experience-pool features that round out the wellness offering.

Camping

The spa shares its site with a thermal campsite, so visitors can stay on-site and combine longer bathing holidays with the healing waters. The campsite and spa are located together at Furdo ter 1, 7555 Csokonyavisonta.
