Mein Bachei - Alpinbad Schwarzbach

Mein Bachei – Alpinbad Schwarzbach is the open-air pool of Bad Reichenhall, operated by the municipal utility Stadtwerke Bad Reichenhall on Rainthalstraße at the northern edge of the Berchtesgaden Alps. The operator builds its description around the mountain setting and a 50-metre swimmer's basin, and through the middle of the grounds it has laid an artificial mountain stream that visitors can sit beside. The play equipment is the second half of the site: a six-metre water climbing wall, a wide wave slide, and diving boards at one and three metres. A large sunbathing lawn, a catering area and space for games outside the water fill the rest of the grounds.

Younger children are kept to their own area, with water play equipment, a pirate ship, a paddling pool and a small playground. The teaching pool was rebuilt between September 2025 and May 2026 and reopened as a stainless-steel basin fitted with a water fountain and massage jets, with the deck around it relaid at the same time. The same project added two new slides, one of them a wide wave slide with its own separate run-out. The utility puts the cost of the basin work at 2.3 million euros, met in part by Bavarian state grants for municipal swimming pools, and says the swimmer's and diving basins are next in line once further funding is available. Around 1,600 people came to the open day held in August 2026 to mark the reopening.

This is a summer operation with no indoor part. From 1 September the pool opens daily from 09:00 to 19:00, with last admission at 18:30, and the operator warns that bad weather can shorten those hours. The 2026 season ends on 13 September, after which the site goes into its winter break. Day tickets cost 6.00 euros for adults and 3.50 euros for children and young people aged six to eighteen; evening tickets, valid from 17:00 between May and August and from 16:00 in September, are 4.00 and 2.50 euros. Season tickets and twelve-entry point cards are also sold, and children under six enter free. The operator publishes neither a total count of basins nor a water temperature.
