About
Verwell is the leisure bath of Verden (Aller) in Lower Saxony. The operator divides the site into three parts: a covered water world, an outdoor bathing complex open in summer, and a sauna landscape, with a restaurant and a massage department alongside them.
Indoors, the Erlebnisbecken is described as having a current channel and water geysers, and is kept warm regardless of the weather outside. The indoor sports pool is open all year, has five 25-metre lanes and a 3-metre diving platform, and its water temperature is given as around 27 degrees. The indoor baby pool holds water at 31 degrees and sits in an area with its own sanitary facilities, changing tables and washbasins for parents with small children. The site's tube slide carries two different lengths on the same page: the introduction to the water world calls it a 90-metre giant slide, while the slide's own paragraph describes the TORTUGA as an 85-metre tube reached at over 33 km/h, with daylight and video effects and a choice of three motif worlds selected by button before the start.
The outdoor complex consists of a large Erlebnisbecken with water attractions, a 25-metre sports pool with eight lanes and a raised water level, a baby pool with a water depth of only 20 to 35 centimetres, and a diving facility with its own 200 square metre pool, separated from the other pools, with platforms at 3, 5, 7.5 and 10 metres. A lawn, a volleyball court and a playground with a pirate ship adjoin them. At the time of reading, the operator's news page announced that the outdoor season had ended.
The sauna landscape covers 440 square metres. The operator enumerates its rooms rather than counting them: a Teichsauna at 80 to 90 degrees and 20 per cent humidity with a panorama window onto the pond and room for up to 60 guests; a Blockhaus-Sauna in the garden at 90 to 100 degrees and 10 per cent humidity; a Finnish sauna at 80 to 90 degrees and 25 per cent humidity with daily changing natural infusions; an Erdsauna at 100 to 110 degrees and 15 per cent humidity, a keloholz cabin half sunk into the ground with a wood fire; a Bio-Sanarium at 50 to 60 degrees and 50 per cent humidity with colour light therapy; and a steam bath at 44 to 48 degrees and 100 per cent humidity. The introductory paragraph of the same page lists only the Finnish sauna, the Bio-Sanarium, the steam bath and two rest rooms indoors plus the Erdsauna and Blockhaus-Sauna outdoors, and does not mention the Teichsauna that the page then describes in detail. Rest areas include a glazed rest room facing the sauna garden, a fireplace room and a quiet room of keloholz; the sauna garden has a heated outdoor pool and its own catering.
The indoor bath is closed on Mondays and opens Tuesday to Friday 06:30 to 08:00 and 12:00 to 20:00, Saturday 12:00 to 19:00 and Sunday 08:00 to 19:00. The sauna opens Monday 14:00 to 22:00, Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 to 22:00 and Sunday 10:00 to 19:00.
