Paracelsus Therme

The Paracelsus-Therme in Bad Liebenzell is a thermal bath that draws its water mainly from the Reuchlinquelle. According to the operator, this water contains minerals such as sodium, calcium and hydrogen carbonate, and its quality is checked through regular chemical and microbiological analyses. The site brings together indoor and outdoor thermal pools, the Sauna Pinea, wellness offerings and a medical therapy department under one roof.

Thermal water and pools

The bath operates several warm-water pools at differing temperatures. Indoors there is a therapy pool of about 60 square metres at 34 degrees C and a larger indoor pool of about 260 square metres at 32 degrees C. Outdoors, a pool of roughly 300 square metres is kept at 33 degrees C, with an integrated whirlpool bay at 36 degrees C fitted with spraying seats and loungers.

Water features and facilities

Indoor attractions listed by the operator include a rock steam grotto with waterfall, a steam bath, brine inhalation, neck showers, floor jets, massage nozzles, a heat bench and experience showers, alongside water gymnastics and aqua-fitness. The outdoor area offers massage nozzles, double massage nozzles, a neck shower, a current channel, a massage mushroom, a scent island, two sun terraces and a large lounging area.

Sauna, wellness and dining

The adjoining Sauna Pinea is available together with the thermal bath, including a ladies' sauna on Thursdays. Wellness services cover massages and cosmetic treatments, and the Pinea Pastaria provides on-site dining.

Health and therapy

The operator lists therapeutic applications of the water including rheumatic diseases, vascular disorders, intervertebral disc damage, states of exhaustion, disorders of the autonomic nervous system, women's ailments and circulatory disturbances. The therapy department offers services such as therapeutic exercise in a pool, classical and full-body massage, connective tissue massage, reflexology, lymphatic drainage, migraine and headache treatment, heat therapy, mud (Fango) therapy, ice compress therapy, traction and electrotherapy.

Fitness programmes

Water gymnastics is offered daily at six set times, with aqua-fitness on Tuesday and Friday evenings; both are included in the admission price.

Opening hours and admission

The thermal bath is open Monday to Sunday and on public holidays from 09:00 to 22:00. Admission for the thermal bath on weekdays runs from 16.00 euros for two hours to 20.00 euros for a full day, with slightly higher weekend and holiday rates; combined tickets including the Sauna Pinea start at 23.00 euros for two hours on weekdays.
