About
The Novamare is a leisure bath (Erlebnisbad) at Altendettelsauer Strasse 11 in 91564 Neuendettelsau, operated under the Gemeindewerke Neuendettelsau. The operator publishes no thermal spring, brine or mineral water of any kind: the water is plain heated pool water, tempered by basin. A live counter on the homepage gives the current number of visitors against a maximum of 280, which indicates the size of the house.
The centrepiece is the indoor leisure pool, which the operator gives as 376 square metres with a pool length of 25 metres, containing an island and various water attractions; its water is listed at 29 degrees. Around it the attractions page enumerates a swimmers' pool at 30 degrees, a water slide of 54 metres, a children's paddling pool of 24 square metres, a waterfall and a wild-water channel (Wildbach), a bubble pool with an outdoor section at 34 degrees, and a Kneipp basin. No total number of pools is published, so the list above is the enumeration as the operator gives it. The homepage describes the same features in words, placing adventure under the large waterfall in the massage bay and in the eddies of the wild stream, and adds that the warm bubble bay has many massage jets and an adjoining outdoor basin.
The 25-metre figure is attributed by the operator in two slightly different ways and this should be noted rather than resolved: the attractions page attaches the 25-metre length to the 376 square metre leisure pool, while the homepage states that a 25-metre pool is available to all swimmers all year round, and the photograph caption for the separate swimmers' pool places that basin in the outdoor area. The attractions page also states that the outdoor pools are operated all year round.
Beyond the water, the operator lists a Roman steam bath, massage jets, a small sauna area, a large lawn for sunbathing, a beach volleyball court and a table tennis table. A ladies' sauna runs on Wednesdays, mixed on public holidays. A single solarium and an infrared cabin are charged separately at 2.00 euro for twelve and thirty minutes respectively.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday 15:00 to 22:00, already from 13:00 during the Bavarian school holidays, and Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays 10:30 to 18:00; early swimming runs on Wednesdays from 5:15 to 7:15. Announced closing periods are works holidays from Monday 14 September to Wednesday 14 October 2026, Christmas from 18 to 26 December 2026, and New Year's Eve. Admission for adults is 10.00 euro for a day ticket, 8.00 euro for four hours, 6.00 euro for two hours and 5.00 euro for one hour or for the Monday-to-Friday 20:00 to 22:00 slot; young people aged 6 to 17 pay 5.00 euro for a day ticket and 4.00 euro for four hours, children under six enter free, and the sauna supplement is 4.00 euro.
