Dachstein Bad & Fitness

The bath at Ramsau 161 in Ramsau am Dachstein is operated by RVB Ramsauer Verkehrsbetriebe, the local transport and leisure company that also runs the Dachstein toll road, the Nordic centre with its ski jumps and a bus and travel division. The operator markets the building as Dachstein Bad and Fitness and advertises 430 square metres of water surface, with views from the pool hall towards the Dachstein massif and the World Championship stadium with its jumping hills. The complex combines a bathing level, a sauna world and a first-floor gym, and admission is sold as two-, three- and four-hour tickets as well as day tickets, with or without the sauna.

The equipment list for the bathing area names a sports pool of 25 by 11 metres at about 28 degrees, a leisure pool with whirl seat benches of 12 by 10 metres at 30 degrees, and a paddling pool with a slide elephant; the introductory text calls the leisure pool an 11 m Erlebnisbecken and adds an Edelstahlrutsche, a stainless-steel slide, in the children's pool. Cascade showers, air bubblers and underwater massage are fitted, and there are 200 square metres of quiet lounging space indoors plus an outdoor area with lawns and free loungers and parasols. On Fridays and Saturdays the operator runs Warmwassertage and raises the water temperature to as much as 32 degrees. A separate attraction, the Aquatrack floating obstacle course, runs only at set times, daily from 14:30 to 16:30 in high summer and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons from mid-September.

The sauna world covers 600 square metres and holds a Finnish sauna, a bio herbal sauna, an infrared cabin, a mist steam grotto with fragrance, a Kneipp treading pool, a rest area, a movement pool and an open-air terrace; infusions are announced on a noticeboard. The gym occupies 260 square metres on the first floor and is used by Nordic and alpine World Cup teams as well as the public, and season-ticket holders may use it from 05:00. Changing rooms, lockers and showers are also sold separately to cross-country skiers and walkers for a small fee.

The water is plain heated tap-type water rather than thermal or mineral: the operator describes drawing it from a Tiefenbrunnen, a deep well, and passing it after use into the snowmaking pond, a circuit built during the 2018/19 rebuilding of the bath. A photovoltaic array of about 230 kWp was later installed on the roof of the bath and the adjoining sports building. Opening hours are published in dated seasonal blocks rather than as a standing timetable, and the published blocks end on 31 October 2026.
