About
Freizeitbad schwapp stands at Große Freizeit 1 in Fürstenwalde/Spree, east of Berlin, and is run by Bürgerhaus "Fürstenwalder Hof" Kultur und Freizeit GmbH. The water is plain heated pool water. Nothing on the operator's home, leisure-bath, sauna, sports-hall, hours, price or imprint pages refers to a spring, thermal water or brine: the words Therme, Thermal, Sole, Mineral and Heilwasser do not occur anywhere on them. The leisure bath posts its water at 29–36 °C and the sports hall at 27–29 °C.
The leisure side is built around a slide park; the operator advertises "7 Rutschen, 270 Meter Spaß" in total and names four of them individually: the Master Blaster tube slide of 120 m, which carries riders on a water jet through the whole building, the Black Hole slide through a 109-metre dark tunnel, the 45-metre Turborutsche ending in a spiral curve and braking splash, and the 12-metre Drachenrutsche with a low start for beginners from age three. The toddler area adds three further slides alongside a children's pool, a warm pool and water-spouting animals. The bathing hall also has a waterfall grotto, a 150-metre Actionriver with an hourly wave that can be swum with or against the current, a separate quiet current channel, a whirlpool at 36 °C with massage jets and bubble loungers, and an outdoor pool with bubble loungers.
The sports hall has a stainless-steel competition pool of eight 25-metre lanes, given as 2.0 to 3.8 metres deep, with starting blocks and a diving tower with 1-metre board and 3-metre platform, usable at weekends and in the holidays between 12:00 and 19:30, plus a non-swimmers' pool shelving to 1.3 metres.
The sauna landscape is described as six individually designed saunas indoors and out: a log-house sauna outdoors at 90 °C, a Banja outdoors at 80 °C, a tepidarium indoors at 60 °C, a meditation sauna at 65 °C, a Finnish sauna at 95 °C and a steam bath at 40–55 °C; an infrared cabin is listed separately. Around them are foot basins, a whirlpool, a natural bathing pond for cold plunges in the sauna garden, and a Ruhehaus with a sun deck. Guided infusions run on the hour between 11:00 and 19:00, alternating between the Finnish and log-house saunas, with the Banja taking the 12:00 and 16:00 slots at weekends.
Opening hours differ by area. The leisure bath opens Thursday to Sunday 10:00–20:00 and is closed Monday to Wednesday, except that during Berlin and Brandenburg school holidays and on public holidays it opens daily 10:00–20:00. The sauna opens Wednesday to Sunday 10:00–20:00. The sports hall keeps its own schedule, including early lanes from 07:00 on Tuesday to Friday and public swimming from 12:00 to 20:00 at weekends. Leisure-bath admission for three hours is 21.00 € for adults and 15.00 € for children aged 4 to 16 on Thursdays and Fridays, 27.00 € and 19.00 € at weekends, and 33.00 € and 25.00 € on holidays; a day ticket for two adults and one child is 42.00 €, 52.00 € or 79.00 € on the same scale, with a sauna surcharge of 10.00 € per person. An evening tariff for the last 2.5 hours costs 15.00 € for adults. The sports hall alone costs 6.00 € for 1.5 hours. The operator publishes no opening year.
