Badeparadies Eiswiese

Badeparadies Eiswiese at Windausweg 60 in Göttingen is operated by Göttinger Sport und Freizeit GmbH & Co. KG and is divided into a Wasserwelt and a separately listed Saunawelt. The bathing water is thermal brine: the operator states that the brine used is extracted from a depth of 450 m at the Göttinger Saline Luisenhall, only two kilometres away in a straight line, that this original Göttingen brine is 27.5 percent saturated at source, and that it is diluted at the bath with water of about 31 °C from the bath's own wells down to the concentration of up to 3 percent usual in bathing establishments. The operator notes the greater buoyancy of brine water and its use for complaints of the musculoskeletal system and skin conditions.

The Wasserwelt is enumerated rather than totalled: a Sole-Außenbecken, a Kommunikationsbecken, a Sportbecken, a Thermalsolebecken, whirlpools, a Spielbecken and a Kleinkinderbecken. The outdoor brine pool holds water of about 31 °C and has bubble loungers and floor bubblers; it is open during the moonlight tariff. The sports pool is 25 m long, with a circular-swimming arrangement on the middle lanes during normal hours and lane swimming from 6.30 to 8.00 on weekday mornings outside the Freibad Brauweg season. Two slides are described: a 71 m tyre white-water slide, usable as a Black Hole slide, and a faster 52 m steep slide with electronic timing.

The Saunawelt lists eight sweat rooms without giving a total: a 4-Jahreszeitensauna of clay and wood, an Aufguss-Arena at the centre of a sauna garden redesigned in 2010, an 85 °C Blockhaus with menthol infusions, a Dampfbad, a Doppel-Maa-Sauna described as an earth sauna, a Klassiksauna built in the 2020 conversion phase with 1,112 end-grain wood pieces on the ceiling, a 75 °C Kristallsauna panelled with rock and quartz crystal, and a 90 °C Panoramasauna with a roughly 4 m wide window onto the sauna garden. The sauna area adds a natural bathing pond, the smaller of the two brine pools, a whirlpool, an ice fountain, a foot pool, rest rooms, water beds, a fireplace lounge and a sauna bar. Note that the site lists Sole-Außenbecken and Thermalsolebecken as separate entries in the Wasserwelt menu, while the Thermalsolebecken page states that the bath has two brine pools in total, the smaller in the sauna garden and the larger in the outdoor area of the Wasserwelt.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday 10:00–22:00 for both water and sauna world and 9:00–22:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, with bathing and sauna operation ending daily at 21:30; early swimming runs Monday to Friday 6:30–8:00 in the sports pool only, outside the outdoor-pool season. The bath is closed on 24 and 25 December and on 31 December, and opens at 14:00 on 1 January. A maintenance shutdown of the Wasserwelt normally falls shortly before the summer holidays and lasts 5 to 10 days, but the operator states it is not taking place in 2026. Water world admission including the textile sauna: 4.70 euro for one hour, 8.40 euro for the 2.5-hour standard tariff and 11.40 euro for a day ticket, with a family ticket at 22.00 euro; the morning and moonlight tariffs are 4.70 euro for 1.5 hours.
