Bad Harzburger Sole-Therme mit Sauna-Erlebniswelt

Bad Harzburger Sole-Therme is a brine bath with an attached sauna world at Bad Harzburg, on the northern edge of the Harz in Lower Saxony. It is run by the town, and its water carries an official medicinal certification.

The water

The brine is drawn from 840 metres below the surface and is described by the venue as a natural brine rich in sodium and calcium. Pool temperatures run between 34 and 38 °C. According to the venue the water is used for complaints of the musculoskeletal system and the respiratory tract, and it lists circulatory conditions among its indications.

Pools and sauna

Indoor and outdoor pools are fitted with swimming and massage sections. The sauna world offers nine different sauna experiences on its own hours. At the time of writing the bubble pool is out of use for building work, for which the venue reduces the admission by 10%.

Visiting

The brine bath opens daily from 09:00 to 20:00. The sauna world opens later on weekdays, from 10:00 to 20:00, and from 09:00 at weekends and on holidays. Two and a half hours cost 11.00 EUR for an adult and a full day 22.50 EUR; with the sauna a full day is 27.00 EUR. Holders of the local guest card pay less — 10.40 EUR for the two-and-a-half-hour ticket. The bath is at Nordhäuser Straße 2A.
