Aquaföhr

AQUAFOHR is a bathing, health, thalasso and wellness centre in Wyk auf Fohr, at Stockmannsweg 1, described by the operator as a Bade-, Gesundheits-, Thalasso- und Wellnesscenter. All swimming pools are filled with heated original seawater from the North Sea, and the main pool switches on a wave machine every half hour during designated wave sessions. The complex also has a non-swimmer pool, a whirlpool and an outdoor pool. The sauna landscape holds a Finnish sauna at 85-95 degrees C with automatic infusions every 30 minutes, a Sanarium with coloured light at 46-60 degrees C, a steam bath at around 50 degrees C with 100 percent humidity, and a crystal sauna called Aquaviva combining light, sound effects and a large amethyst. Guests cool off in a seawater plunge pool, a seawater shower or a deluge shower, then rest in a dedicated rest room with heated blankets and loungers. The site also runs a fitness studio, a beauty and cosmetics offer, and a health and thalasso treatment department, alongside the AQUAMARIN cafe. Towel and bathrobe rental is available on site. The wave pool and the sauna keep separate weekday schedules, and sauna admission includes use of the seawater wave pool.
