Balnéa

Balnéa is a thermal bathing complex in Génos, in the French Pyrenees (Route de Loudenvielle), which the operator describes as the first sulphurous thermal-water relaxation complex in the Pyrenees. A single 2-hour entry ticket gives access to all pools. The bathing area is organised as several themed indoor and outdoor baths: the Amérindiens bath, an indoor pool decorated with wooden totems; the Incas bath, an open-air pool inspired by Inca temples; the Mayas bath, an outdoor pool with a mountain view inspired by Chichen Itza (minimum age 12); the Romains bath, housed under a glass dome with a Roman-style thermal circuit; and a Japanese bath with three panoramic outdoor pools, which the operator states is temporarily closed. A 25-metre Bassin Olympien, fed with thermal water, opens directly onto a sun terrace. Besides the baths, Balnéa runs a spa institute offering facials and body treatments, eight types of massage, eleven specific treatments, and combined ritual treatments (scrub, wrap, massage), plus an on-site restaurant. Children under 12 can use the Amérindiens, Incas, Mayas and Olympien pools.
