Aquacentrum Pardubice

Aquacentrum Pardubice is a year-round indoor bathing complex at Jiraskova 2664 in Pardubice, eastern Bohemia, which the operator describes as the largest aquapark in East Bohemia and gives an annual figure of around 510,000 visitors. The same operator runs a second, entirely separate site, the outdoor Koupaliste Cihelna at Ke koupalisti 68 in Pardubice II; the two share the aquapce.cz domain, whose front page is only a splitter leading to two independent websites with their own price lists, opening hours and contact details. The building is divided into charged zones, and admission is sold by the minute against a chip card rather than as a flat day ticket.

The sports half holds a stainless-steel 50 m pool, described by the operator as among the most modern in the Czech Republic and used several times a year for international meets including the Grand Prix of the City of Pardubice, and a stainless-steel 25 m pool with six lanes and a depth of 120 to 160 cm built to FINA parameters. A glass wall connects the two, with sliding glass doors allowing passage between them. A swimming school with fifteen instructors operates courses for infants, nursery and primary schools, adults and seniors, and the 25 m pool is reserved for it on weekday mornings.

Zone 2, marketed as AQUA, is the fun-water part: a wild river with a wave ball in its centre, a 34 m triple slide, a 102 m raft tube slide called Megaslide that runs through an outdoor section before returning indoors, a recreational pool with a waterfall, massage jets and spouts, a paddling pool with water animals and a small slide, a 12 by 8.5 m children's teaching pool 0.6 to 0.9 m deep, two connected warm whirlpools and a deep diving pool fitted with a climbing wall from which climbers drop into the water. A separate outdoor area, the Summer Beach, adjoins the building with a multi-purpose pool 120 to 160 cm deep, a slide and a tube slide of almost 100 m, a wave installation, water massage beds, a paddling pool, a beach volleyball court and table tennis.

The wellness floor, capacity sixty, is a textile-free area with a Finnish sauna run at a recommended 80 to 100 degrees, an infrared cabin, a sun meadow, a snow chamber held at minus ten degrees, a cooling plunge pool and a set of bath chambers: a Turkish bath at a recommended 47 degrees and near total humidity, a Kneipp foot bath alternating water at 38 and 10 degrees, a herbal bath at 50 degrees and a salt bath. Thursdays are reserved for women and Wednesday mornings for seniors. The water is ordinary treated municipal supply: no page on the operator's site mentions thermal, medicinal or mineral water or a spring, and the salt bath is a steam room with rock salt suspended in the air rather than brine to bathe in. The whole of zone 2 AQUA is closed for a planned reconstruction, announced in a site-wide notice which states that the 25 m pool, the 50 m pool, fitness, wellness and the Summer Beach remain in operation.
