Erlebnisbad Obervellach

Erlebnisbad Obervellach is run by the municipality of Obervellach in the Mölltal, in the Hohe Tauern national park region of Carinthia, at the address 9821 Obervellach 155. The water is plain heated pool water: the operator names no spring, no thermal or mineral source and no brine, and publishes no water temperature.

The bath combines an indoor hall, an outdoor bath and a sauna world. The indoor pool is given as 16 m long and 7 m wide, 1.20 to 1.60 m deep, with a separate children's area for paddling and a large winter garden with a view of the mountains around Obervellach for resting. The outdoor grounds hold a sports pool and an adventure pool; the operator lists a neck shower, bubble steps, floor bubblers, massage jets, a rock grotto and a flooded peninsula among the attractions, and the outdoor highlight is a 68 m water slide with built-in light effects, called the BLACK HOLE Großrutsche. The restaurant Michi's Genießerstüberl serves the bath.

Hours are published season by season. The outdoor bath opens in summer, from early June to early September, with the indoor hall offered instead in bad weather; in the summer season the sauna opens on selected days only.
