Dolomitenbad Lienz

Dolomitenbad Lienz is run by the town of Lienz (Stadtgemeinde Lienz) and describes itself as a municipal bath with a health-bath role („unser kommunales Hallenbad auch als ‚Gesundheitsbad‘“). The water is ordinary heated pool water: the operator makes no thermal, mineral or brine claim anywhere on its site, and the only temperatures it publishes are for the heated outdoor basins.

The indoor hall is not a new building — the operator states it „ist kein Neubau, aber seit 2016 so gut wie neu“, the original structure having been kept while the interior was re-divided. The site enumerates the indoor pool landscape rather than counting it: a multi-purpose pool (Mehrzweckbecken), a new children's area, a large outdoor basin attached to the hall, and a sports pool kept free for lane swimming while therapy sessions and water gymnastics run in the multi-purpose pool. No dimensions or water temperatures for the indoor basins are published. The tower of the 90-metre slide („die spektakuläre 90-Meter-Rutsche“) sits structurally apart from the hall so that slide noise does not carry into the swimming area. Changing cabins are in the basement; the whole bath is barrier-free and a pool lift for wheelchair users is available.

The Dolomitenbad Sauna is a separate area, admission from 16 years, with a spruce-lamella ceiling and an architecture framed on the Lienz Dolomites; the operator mentions sweating, steam and infrared relaxation, and a weekly Aufguss programme run by trained sauna masters. It publishes a monthly Aufguss plan as a PDF but does not state how many cabins there are or at what temperatures they run.

The summer outdoor bath has 30,000 m² of lawns and four heated pools at 23–25 °C: a 50 m sports pool, a large multi-purpose and non-swimmer pool, a 4 m deep diving pool with 1 m and 3 m boards, a children's water playground with a Wildbach channel, two beach-volleyball courts and a 60 m slide with loops and a tunnel. About 250 free parking spaces surround the bath. The same operator also runs the Strandbad on the Tristacher See, a natural bathing lake about 5 km away, with water up to 24 °C; at the time of reading the outdoor bath was listed as closed and the lake as out of season.

Hours: indoor pool Tuesday to Sunday 9:00–20:30, sauna Tuesday to Sunday 13:00–20:30, Monday a rest day except in Tyrolean school holidays and on public holidays. Published admission: indoor pool two hours €9.70 for adults, day ticket €16.00; sauna three hours €23.90, day ticket €32.00, tariffs including use of the indoor pool; outdoor bath all-day €6.60 for adults.
