Leukerbad Therme

Leukerbad Therme lies in the Valais mountain village of Leukerbad at around 1,411 metres above sea level, and ranks as the largest thermal bath complex in the Alpine region. The spa is fed by the resort's own sulphur-rich hot springs, whose water reaches the surface at roughly 51 degrees Celsius before being cooled and distributed through the pools.

Thermal pools

The complex offers ten indoor and outdoor pools with water temperatures ranging from about 28 to 44 degrees Celsius. Four large outdoor pools kept at roughly 36 to 38 degrees stay open year-round and connect to the indoor bathing areas through an underwater passage, so bathers can move between them without leaving the warm water.

Sauna and wellness

The sauna world includes a Finnish sauna, a herbal sauna, steam baths and a sauna garden with a mountain panorama. The offering is rounded out by massages, naturopathy treatments and cosmetic treatments.

Family facilities

Alongside the spa area and a dedicated sports pool, the site has a children's pool and two water slides, the 126-metre Badnerblitz with two 360-degree curves and the 106-metre Bürgerblitz, both of which end in landing basins located indoors and protected from the weather. A restaurant is also on site.

Hours and admission

The baths open daily throughout the year, with the two water slides running from 10:00 to 19:00. Children under six years old are admitted free.
