Les Grands Bains d’Hérémence

Les Grands Bains d'Hérémence is a bath and wellness complex in Hérémence, in the Val d'Hérens in the canton of Valais, at Route de la Forêt-Derrière 20. The operator presents it as a wellness experience laid out over three levels, combining indoor and outdoor bathing with heat rooms, sensory installations and a treatment floor. It is open every day of the year from 11:00 to 20:30, and admission can be booked online or bought at the door. Facilities listed by the operator include parking, secured changing rooms with individual lockers, Wi-Fi, a shop, herbal-tea areas, catering in a bar and on a terrace, and access for people with reduced mobility; outside food is not permitted.

On the ground floor the operator describes indoor and outdoor baths with a panoramic view of the mountains, a children's area equipped with water games, a bar and terrace, a relaxation zone, and three sensory grottoes: a musical grotto, a cold grotto and a caldarium. The first floor is designed as a quiet space reserved for visitors aged 16 and over. It holds an indoor basin fitted with five whirlpools, sensory showers with varied effects described as tropical rain, cold shower and snow shower, a large hammam, and four saunas, namely two large saunas and two oak saunas scented with herbs and lavender, together with herbal-tea areas and a relaxation room. Access to a gym is available on the first floor for a surcharge.

The second floor carries the treatment offer, which the operator marks as subject to availability: massages and treatments described as tailor-made wellness rituals, a jet-shower and balneotherapy room, and a private relaxation area, all bookable in advance. Published access rules are that children under four are not admitted, that children aged 4 to 15 must be accompanied by an adult and carry valid identification confirming their age, and that swimwear is compulsory throughout the installations. Visitors are advised to bring two towels each, one for the sauna and one for after the shower, with towels also on sale on site at CHF 15.

Published tariffs are CHF 50 for an adult, CHF 20 for a child under 16, CHF 30 for students and CHF 35 on the AVS/AI rate, with a CHF 25 evening rate from 18:00 Monday to Friday sold only on site, a CHF 10 gym supplement and a CHF 15 towel. The operator markets the venue for both winter and summer use, as a stop after a day of skiing or snowshoeing and after summer hiking. The operator's own pages do not publish the temperature of the bathing water, the origin, temperature or depth of the water supply, the year the complex opened, its altitude, its surface area, or a total number of basins; those figures are therefore omitted rather than estimated.
