Les Bains d'Ovronnaz

Les Bains d'Ovronnaz is an alpine thermal resort set in the Valais mountains, offering more than 600 m² of natural thermal water spread across three pools. The complex combines one indoor pool of 180 m² with two outdoor pools totalling 450 m², all fed with thermal water and framed by panoramic views of the surrounding Alps.

Thermal pools

The main pools are kept at a natural thermal-water temperature of 32-35°C, while a separate jacuzzi is heated to 36°C. Bathers can enjoy massage jets, waterfalls and a geyser, and families are served by a dedicated children's paddling pool. The pool water is treated using a natural salt-electrolysis system that removes chlorine.

Wellness and spa

The wellness area includes a Finnish sauna, a hammam, Kneipp baths, a herbal steam bath, sensory showers, a jacuzzi and a panoramic relaxation lounge with soothing music. A spa offers a wide range of massages, scrubs and wraps, and beauty treatments using Karin Herzog products, delivered by ASCA-certified therapists.

Therapeutic benefits

A medical study by Dr. M. Waldburger documents therapeutic benefits of the baths for rheumatism, mechanical disorders, metabolic diseases, neurological conditions and circulatory disorders of functional, nervous or multifactorial origin.

Hotel and dining

The on-site hotel offers 149 Valaisan-style units, from studios for 1-2 people to three-room apartments for up to six, with thermal-bath access included each night (check-in 3 pm, check-out 11 am). The restaurant serves Swiss and international cuisine featuring local Valais produce, with a south-facing terrace overlooking the Alps.

Hours

The thermal baths open Sunday to Thursday from 9 am to 8 pm and Friday to Saturday from 9 am to 9 pm, with discounted After Work rates from 5:30 pm Monday to Thursday and from 6:30 pm on Friday.
