Western Hungary's largest single spa complex, working two separate medicinal waters - 43 °C from 1,200 m and an 83 °C brine from 2,000 m - across a quiet medicinal wing, a 5,000 m² family adventure hall and a summer lido, eighteen pools in all, open 364 days a year.

About

Sárvár's spa is built on two distinct medicinal waters, and the difference between them shapes the whole place. From about 1,200 metres a 43 °C alkaline hydrogen carbonate water rises, carrying sodium chloride, hydrogen carbonate and trace elements but, as the operator states plainly, neither sulphur nor radon; this is the water in the bathing pools, prescribed there for chronic degenerative spine and joint disease, soft-tissue rheumatism, the aftercare of sports injuries and orthopaedic surgery, neurological conditions and chronic gynaecological inflammation. From about 2,000 metres comes a second, far saltier water at 83 °C, rich in sodium chloride, hydrogen carbonate, iodine, bromine and fluorine, used for salt tub baths and distilled down into the Sárvár Thermal Crystal. Twenty minutes is the stay the operator recommends in a medicinal pool.

The medicinal wing is deliberately kept apart from the family side. It holds a half-covered experience pool at 32 to 34 degrees, an indoor therapeutic pool at 35 to 37, an indoor medicinal experience pool and a half-covered medicinal pool at 34 to 36, several of them fitted with massage benches, neck jets and water spouts, and one with a chessboard set into the floor for which the pieces are lent free at the cash desk. A wide corridor connects it to the family adventure bath, a 5,000 m² hall with a wave pool, a baby pool with its own small slide, a giant jacuzzi placed where parents can watch the children's pools, a family slide, a green tube slide, three giant slides that coil in and out of the building, a 25-metre swimming pool, a bowling alley and a supervised playhouse staffed by kindergarten teachers. The children's pool was rebuilt at the end of 2024, more than 320 m² of it turned into a jungle with a waterfall cave, a gorilla cave, a water sand-table, artificial mist, a smoking volcano and a lava flow.

The summer lido is the third part: a beach pool, a diving bay, a four-lane racing slide, a wave pool and seven giant slides, among them a 106-metre tube that runs alternately dark and lit and a curved half-pipe ridden on rubber rings, plus a children's adventure pool with a pirate ship and water castle, a retro medicinal pool, sandpits, beach volleyball and petanque. The separate sauna world is a clothes-free area for visitors from twelve years up, with Finnish saunas at 95 to 100 degrees, soft saunas at 55 to 65 degrees and high humidity, steam baths, aroma cabins and a Kneipp pool floored with pebbles; from autumn to spring trained sauna masters run infusions with salt, honey, fruit, ice, yoghurt or chocolate.

The complex works 364 days a year and closes only on 24 December. The medicinal wing runs 09:00 to 21:00, the sauna world to 20:45, medical treatment and wellness from 08:00, and the family bath to a shorter timetable that varies by day. Maintenance is published pool by pool with dates, and only the pool being worked on shuts. Accommodation is attached under the same management: the VitalMed Hotel, the Thermal Camping with mobile homes and apartments, and the Harmónia Hotel.
