Jonathermál Gyógy- és Élményfürdő

Jonathermál Gyógy- és Élményfürdő is a combined medicinal and adventure bath in Kiskunmajsa, Hungary. It draws on certified medicinal thermal water and pairs treatment-focused therapeutic pools with recreational facilities such as wave and experience pools, a slide park and a beach bath, alongside on-site wellness services and accommodation.

The water

The bath is supplied by sodium bicarbonate thermal water that emerges at a source temperature of 72 °C. The water feeds certified medicinal pools. According to the site, the therapeutic water is used for degenerative joint conditions (arthrosis), chronic inflammatory musculoskeletal diseases, soft-tissue rheumatism, recovery after surgery and fractures, gynaecological conditions including chronic inflammation and infertility, and rehabilitation after stroke-related paralysis. The site also lists contraindications such as decompensated heart disease, severe hypertension, fever, tuberculosis, malignant tumours and hyperthyroidism.

Pools & saunas

The therapeutic section includes medicinal pools kept at 36 °C and 38 °C, plus a 25-metre therapeutic swimming pool with a tensioned water surface. Across the site there are indoor and outdoor therapeutic, slide, wave and experience pools, and the bath describes distinct areas including a thermal bath, an experience bath, a slide park, a wave pool, a children's pool, a swimming pool, and a floating aquapark with beach bath. The sauna island (Szaunasziget) offers a Finnish sauna, an aroma sauna and a steam bath, with an infra sauna available for a separate fee.

Wellness & facilities

Wellness offerings include aroma massages, therapeutic treatments, general massages, aroma baths and a salt chamber. Beyond bathing, the complex provides food service, a playground, grilling areas, a fishing pond, and iris and lavender gardens. On-site accommodation options include a campsite, pensions, small and large wooden houses, apartments, rental caravans and the Mustang Ranch.

Visiting

The thermal bath and experience bath are open year-round from 9:00 to 19:00, while wellness and medical services run from 9:00 to 18:30. The aquapark operates from 7 May to 16 September and the beach bath from 1 June to 20 August, with night bathing offered on Fridays and Saturdays. Adult full-day admission is listed at 4,500 Ft in the pre- and post-season and 4,900 Ft in peak season, with reduced rates for children, seniors, families and groups.
