Dandár Thermal Bath

Budapest, Budapest, Hungary

  • Small tiled indoor pool in a white hall with tall arched windows

A Budapest medicinal bath with certified medicinal water, a sauna and outdoor pools, open late on Thursdays.

About

Dandár Gyógyfürdő is a medicinal bath in Budapest, in the ninth district south of the centre — one of the smaller and quieter of the city's baths, run by Budapest Spas. Its water carries an official medicinal certification, and according to the venue it is used for skin complaints.

Age limit

The bath cannot be visited by children under 14, and massages are likewise available only from that age.

Areas

The bath has indoor thermal pools, outdoor pools and a sauna; the outdoor section is sold as a supplement of 1,000 Ft or included in the complex ticket.

Visiting

Open 09:00 to 19:00, and until 22:00 on Thursdays. Ticketing ends an hour before closing and the pool areas have to be left 20 minutes before. Parking is free for bath guests, in the enclosed car park opposite the building; trams 2 and 24 and buses 23 and 54 stop nearby.

Prices

In 2026 an adult thermal ticket is 3,500 Ft on weekdays and 4,000 Ft at weekends and on holidays. The complex ticket, covering the thermal bath, the sauna and the outdoor pools, is 4,500 and 5,000 Ft. Seniors and students pay 2,400 and 2,700 Ft. A two-hour thermal ticket and an afternoon ticket valid for the last two hours are both 2,500 Ft on weekdays only. A cabin is 800 Ft and a safe 1,100 Ft. Massages start at 6,500 Ft for 20 minutes and 10,000 Ft for 45. Fifteen-visit passes cost 43,300 Ft, or 53,500 Ft for the complex version, and the bath is included in the Budapest Spas Silver and Bronze annual passes. SZÉP cards from all three issuing banks are accepted; the shops and cafés inside take only card or the top-up card, not cash. The bath is at Dandár utca 3.
